Should you use OBS or Streamlabs OBS for VTubing?

i dunno chief, sounds like you need a liquid aio cooler, better thermal paste and more ram for your cpu issues

Good thermal paste, 48 gigs DDR5 ram, and no heating issues when using regular OBS. Buying a cooling system would cost about $300 for my PC. Using OBS instead is free and less limiting~

RT @InstaMAT_io: 👀 Are you looking for an alternative to Adobe Substance tools? Do not miss out on InstaMAT from killer node-based material…

Even for non vtubers using OBS is a way better experience since everything is compatible with it without worrying about this at x but this one doesn't work at y. The OBS plugins are king these days without extra bloatware on your PC. Trust me IT'S WORTH LEARNING 🙏

I stopped using SLOBS a few years ago for OBS because of this exactly, also being able to have my chat built in to OBS, which was the biggest reason for going to SLOBS SLOBS is just useless at this point.

Also giving suggestions for people wanting simulcasting on base OBS! Use the @AitumTV Multistream and Vertical Stream plugins! They allow you to stream to twitch, yt, yt shorts, tiktok, and more, and all at once if you so desire!

OBS did scare me initially but it just runs so much better!

“Back in my day” we used a second computer that’s separate for streaming. A cheap quad core computer. And it stores only streaming, videos, and audio. It offloads the work. And when you’re traveling and need to edit anything. I wasn’t hauling a box. Because it was a laptop.

The only reason I can never recommend Streamlabs is because the main reason they CALLED it 'Streamlabs OBS' was to trick people into thinking it was attached to OBS, DESPITE the original OBS team telling the devs at Lightstream "Don't fucking do this". So, there's that.

as someone who used streamlabs for years I really wish I learned about OBS sooner :,)

This is why I use OBS and LOVE IT! I always offer to help anyone willing or wanting to make the switch because it’s just so much better! Not only does it eat less CPU but you can actually control how much CPU and bandwidth it takes on your PC to optimize performance or visuals 😊
