Maybe, but he's no Kalvin Phillips

He’s had all season to prove he can’t do that any more

Based on this one goal or 9 months of sulking and being rubbish at football?

You’ve got to pass the ball forward for that system work.

💯, as poor as he’s been England have no players that can run in behind and stretch defences. Saka foden and Bellingham all basically 10s getting in each others way. Could argue saka is most like Rashford but still wants to come short for the ball.

Absolutely. Instead he’s taken a LB who’s injured and probably won’t play a single game. And honestly I like shaw but they should’ve known that he won’t be able to shake off his injury in time.

Unfortunately he’s just not a Kalvin Phillips replacement

As much as I like Bowen as a player there’s no chance he’s coming on when England need something. Rashford gives you that threat even if his form has been poor.

Behave Jay. You’ve been hammering Rashford all season like the most of us. It was the right decision to not take him. He’s been goose for us all season. There’re a few players in that England side who shouldn’t have gone either, but we have lots of forward options.
