Eichel was bitter because the Sabres wouldn't let him get the surgery he knew he needed and many Sabres fans were upset with him. Most were understanding, but still. Crazy to think of where BUF would be right now if they had just let their star player get the surgery he needed.

Jack had every right to be upset. He was being told that the organization wouldn’t allow him to get the operation he wanted to get on his neck just because it hasn’t been done to hockey players. That’s absolutely ridiculous that the Sabres thought they could do that

You know they weren’t the only team that wasn’t willing to let him get the surgery right? Thats why there were only 2-3 teams willing to trade for him. Vegas being one. Hence why the return wasn’t as great as it should have been.
