I love shroud, but he plays video games for a living. Just tell me wtf the cigarettes are for, i have work in a few hours.

A small teaser of Astromeda! It's a game inspired by Pokemon, Undertale, and OneShot. Wishlist on Steam! #TrailerTuesday #indiegame #IndieGameDev #GamingNews #Steam

Completely agree actually. Extraction shooters are inherently niche and any attempt to make them more palatable to a more profitable playerbase will dilute the strengths of the genre. There can't be a good AAA made extraction game because of this, it's too risky.

agreed fully. This feedback is the best laid out I've seen yet @MarathonTheGame Extraxtion shooters need complexity and mystery that only time in game solves.

Hey Shroud, how is that game Spectre Divide going? Think I'll take your thoughts with a grain of salt now.

Every AAA dev has tried a ‘Tarkov-killer’ and none of them have ever killed Tarkov. It’s easy to understand why

Disagree. Because eventually you know how to overcome all of the friction, and then it doesn’t add a single thing to the game. It’s just a barrier to entry for new players or returning players.

Like he has room to talk

The Cycle had a really good healthy player base before it got wiped by cheaters. It was simple and easy at its core. This game will be successful if questing go in depth. Well see

Another thing is - they looked at Extraction Shooters - a genre where your main objective is to not die - and decided to focus their game on non-tactical PvP - an activity with a 50/50 chance of death. I strongly think that Marathon was originally supposed to be a Battle Royale.

Absolutely, complexities keep people engaged and learning. Driving towards the depths to enhance their abilities and therefore their status in the game for optimal outcomes each round. You want your game to be a cult classic that lives on throughout the generations.
