DelBene: They’re scared they can’t keep a majority in the House because they’re not standing up for the issues the American people care about. You didn’t hear a single person in any of those videos talk about what the people of Texas want, what the people of Indiana want. This is all about taking orders from Donald Trump. And we should be making sure that voters get to pick their representatives—not politicians picking their voters. They know they can’t win, so they’re trying to rig the system.

Brown: In a state of 12 million people, half a million are going to lose their insurance. And these are mostly working families whose employers don’t provide insurance — or kids, or seniors, or disabled people. Those are the people losing their health insurance. People didn’t vote for that. They didn’t vote for drug prices to go up. They didn’t vote for higher grocery bills. They didn’t vote for veterans’ benefits being slashed. They didn’t vote for any of this. And whatever their allegiance to the president is — it doesn’t matter in that sense. What matters is they know this rigged system has gotten worse, especially over the last eight months. It’s why I’m back in the arena making this fight — because there’s nobody speaking up for Ohio workers in the United States Senate.

Cross: There is a deal on the table right now that Republicans can accept. They won't do that because they don't want to extend one year of subsidies to make sure that people have affordable health care. So you're going to have people who are deciding, do I spend $500 to go to a doctor, or do I buy groceries? And those same people are the people you guys are saying are living in a safety jacuzzi. And some of these people are your voters. More than half the people in the marketplace live in Republican congressional districts. A part of me feels like you're getting the government you voted for, but the human in me can see the humanity in these people, more so than I've seen other people be able to extend and say they don't deserve to be without health care.

What I know is that when the ultra-rich and special interests were on a roll in the 1920s and started controlling the government, they crashed the economy and caused the Great Depression. When the ultra-rich and big banks were controlling the government, they were “on a roll” and caused the Great Recession in 2008. We’ve got to stop that roll—we can’t let them do something like that again. The only cure, the only solution to oligarchy, is the actual power of working people. The only solution to wannabe autocrats is more democracy. So we need more and more people to show up and speak out against Trump and Musk’s abuses. And when people speak out, we start to recognize that we actually still do live in a democracy, where we can have a real check and balance on these billionaires..

🚨Governor DeSantis says Florida has a problem with boomers refusing to downsize making it impossible for young people to afford homes! “You’ve got older people that have been in their home for a long time. They've had protection against valuation increases for 30 years. They're not downsizing because if they go from a three or four bedroom home to a condo, the tax basis is going to be so much higher that they can't afford it. So that hurts young people having access to be able to do it. So it needs to go on the ballot. It needs to get 60% of the vote, and we'll be working on that through the balance of the year.”
