The video is from Iraq—specifically the Mosul area—and dates back to March 2017, during the battle to liberate the city from ISIS. But it's anyway a custom in many Arab conflict areas, mainly Gaza, Judea and Samaria The footage shows an Iraqi soldier (from the Iraqi security forces) removing a suicide vest from a boy, approximately seven years old, who was among civilians fleeing Mosul. The boy was wearing a Chelsea football shirt (bearing Eden Hazard's name), with the vest concealed underneath. According to reports from the time, the boy—identified as Uday (sounds like U-die)—said his uncle had sent him with orders to attack the soldiers. The soldier calms him down and carefully disarms the explosive device.
