Mayor Mamdani is asked what he plans to do about the homeless people currently living on NYC sidewalks in freezing weather. He says he’s only been in office for a few weeks and has no real plan. He only offers platitudes. The reporter notes that a homeless person told her he would go into supportive housing if it were offered. Instead of saying he’ll offer that freezing man supportive housing, Mamdani says there need to be more services that the homeless man wants and will use. All this shows Mamdani has no real plan.
