Sid vs Shawn is GREAT

Love seeing these old videos just highlighting how ridiculously over Sid was everywhere he showed up. It's amazing how crowds just gravitated to him

Was there that night. As someone who despised the babyface Shawn character, the pop when Sid won was awesome.

Everybody talks about Sid’s entrance but the post match celebration is even better.

Sid is the only man to defeat Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart for the title

That: "NOOOOO!!!" Right before the 3 count pin 🤣

The best version of Shawn

Always thought this was the night when the new generation era ended. Fans cheering heels. White meat baby face booed. Taker came back with a new look. Bret showing a new attitude. Austin finally being shown as a star.

This entrance was amazing to watch in 1996 at the time and even still now. Sid brought the intensity. The WWF title had changed at Survivor Series the previous year. This match made me a Sid fan!

One of my favorite title changes ever - Sid was awesome and legit thrilled getting the title and MSG was unreal

Even as a 13 year old kid who still liked all the good guys, I wanted Sid to win.

That's a huge number of MSG fans rooting for Heel Psycho Sid.

One of the best crowd pops ever - loved it

the chick yelling SHAWN!!! and collapsing after he doesn't kick out is amazing

@ovppodcast Pictured at ringside on the corner guardrail by Vlad: a young @DavidLee8885 absolutely distraught at his hero eating the pinfall…

Love this ladies reaction. You can see her soul leave her body as Sid wins the title.

I was there. 8 years old. Pure magic. The crowd swayed me into cheering for Austin and Sid despite HBK being my guy.

Sid was just way cooler, never did buy Shawn’s gimmick

Best Sid match ever, legit 4 stars.

And Sid only made it to the "Legacy Wing" of the WWE HoF... A travesty.

I love Sid’s power bomb.

thaaaanks for Vince that SID wins 🤣

Would have been great if this was Vader defeating HBK at Survivor Series 1996, & then drop it back to HBK at Royal Rumble 1997.

Catch As Catch Can

The New York crowd loves Sid and Sid goes with it. 😎

This was big time

Legendary!!

I remember watching and wondering why Shawn was was getting booed

Vlad in the front row too!

Sid was the creator of the “Fist Bump”

Before my marathon last week I was HBK entrance and after for sure Sid entrance

Classic

This was Sycho Sid at his absolute peak of his career. The planets were perfectly aligned and you couldn't ask for more.

Revisionist history would make you think shawn was just so amazing we all wanted sid to win
