To Save College Sports, we must solve a business problem: Fix a system that is fully professionalized on the cost side but only semi-professionalized on the revenue side. This problem CAN be solved. I am deeply disappointed by the unethical conduct displayed by Minister Justine Nameere Nsubuga during these supervision visits. If the intention is genuinely to improve service delivery, every unannounced supervision should be conducted alongside qualified technical experts who can objectively assess challenges and recommend practical solutions. Visiting an understaffed health facility and publicly reprimanding the Officer-in-Charge, instead of documenting the staffing shortages and systemic challenges, does little to address the real problems facing our healthcare system. Effective leadership is about solving problems, not creating spectacles. Frontline health workers deserve professionalism, respect, and support not public humiliation.

Our government has condemned in the strongest terms the appalling mistreatment of civilians, including Canadians, aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla. Today, in the House of Commons, I reiterated our government’s position. The safety and security of Canadians abroad will always be our top priority, and we will continue to engage directly with Israeli authorities at the highest levels on this matter. At the same time, we continue to work to find permanent solutions for the people of Gaza, all Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and security with Israel and Palestine living side by side.
