These are misleading arguments used as a facade to hide Center’s policies aimed at crippling industry in Panjab. R.S. Sachdeva, Chair of Panjab State Chapter, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, has clearly outlined the real issues and ways to promote industry in Panjab: - Panjab is a landlocked state, yet the only international trade route via Wagah-Attari border has been closed for exports for 7 years, which is severely damaging trade. - Panjab has no coastal ports and it is expensive to freight goods to ports. Earlier, freight equalization policies helped offset this disadvantage, but the policy was scrapped after GST was introduced. - When Panjab’s industry sought support from Niti Aayog, the response was: “Shift industries to coastal states” (read: Gujarat). This isn’t about protests. The systematic economic marginalization of Panjab is a deliberate attempt by BJP to break Panjab’s economic backbone. Why is it important that Panjab University should remain with Punjab and no centeralisation. This farmer has one acre of land. Wanted higher education for his children. His son cleared JEE mains with flying colours got a seat in Delhi. Fees being beyond their reach they opted for Panjab University’s UIT today he’s placed in a top IT company and getting a good salary. We want education to be affordable and accessible to our children from Panjab. We must understand that centralisation also means that education out of reach. Colleges in Chandigarh itself has reservation for Chandigarh students. Panjab University is a place where quality and affordable education and first prefrefrence should be of Punjab's students. This University was transferred from Lahore to Chandigarh. Panjab University is for Punjab and so shall it be.

Sad to say that there is no expenditure being made by the State Government of #Odisha for the people of this state and for their development. Time and again this has been brought to the attention of #Odisha Government by Biju Janata Dal that there must be some expenditure for the development of the people of the state, but they seem to be totally neglectful about this. Everyone is suffering. It's not exclusive to any people, it is everyone that is suffering. It's like they're playing on empty vessels, and we all know that empty vessels make a good sound, and that's what they're satisfied by. #BJDWithOdisha

The Palestinians have their national institutions: the State of Palestine and its government that represents the unity of Palestinian people, land and political system. We cannot return to the status quo ante, now is the time for Palestinian liberation and the unity of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and Gaza.

MGNREGA is a lifeline for the poor. They are purposely destroying that Act and they want to make the poor villagers and farm labourers slaves of the rich. That's why we fought to retain the MGNREGA law, and all its provisions should remain as they are. I condemn the new law, which is only helping the government. Earlier, the share of funding was 90 per cent from the central government and 10 per cent from the state government, but now they have changed it to 60-40. This means they don't want to help the states. They want money from the state governments, and they want to reduce their own contribution. This clearly shows that they have no interest in the development of the poor. MGNREGA helped in COVID pandemic and poverty eradication and led to the development of roads, tanks, school buildings, Aanganwadi buildings, etc. But the Modi government is not liking that. They want to make the poor people even poorer and oppress them. We are going to agitate in each state, and it should be continued. Even the other Opposition parties are supporting us.
