"Produce your proof, if you are truthful." —Surah Al-Baqarah (2:111) “The burden of proof is upon the claimant.” —Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Three days have now passed since Dunya Shuaib’s ex-husband gave a platform to the Stalker, who loudly proclaimed she possessed “damning evidence.” And yet—there is nothing. No documents. No photographs. No voice notes. No witnesses. Only silence. And this silence is not just disappointing—it is shocking, given the severity and scope of the claims that were made. For accusations so sweeping and specific, the total absence of even the most basic forms of proof speaks louder than any allegation. One cannot shout fire in a theatre, then flee when asked to show smoke. Even more disturbing is the glaring inconsistency of the Ex, who in the very video below insists that evidence must be presented when he is accused—citing the seriousness of a claim like zina. Yet when it comes to the Stalker, suddenly “her testimony is evidence.” This is not justice. This is partisanship masquerading as principle. Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay & this video is about my anxiety — that underrated, self-sabotaging illness that chips away at self-love and steals my peace when i dont face it, control it, talk about it. Everyone is fighting a battle in their mind, some big sone small. Mental health isn’t always loud or visible. Sometimes it’s that quiet whisper inside your head — the anxiety, the pressure, the feeling of not being enough. Talking changes everything. It’s the first step to healing, to rebuilding, and to taking back control of negative thought loops in your mind. Strength isn’t about pretending everything’s fine — it’s about being honest, open, and vulnerable. I’ve built a men’s community on Facebook 60,000 strong— a space where we can talk, be real, and lift each other up. It’s grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. We’ve built something real — a place where honesty, connection and support come before judgement. It became a movement, and now a charity — all built from that same belief: Vulnerability is not weakness, its strength. We need to continue to talk about whats going on in our minds with each other.. We are born with pure intelligence. Watch a baby learning to walk. It falls. It gets up. It falls again. It gets up again and again. There is no shame. No worry about failure. No voice in its head saying it's not good enough or it should give up. A child navigates the world with a neurology centered around exploration, not reason. Every moment is new. Every experience is fresh. The force of growth and curiosity drives everything. Pure determination. Pure intelligence. Growth. We need to wake up each day eager to grow to the light, just like a healthy tree. We need to approach the world with the child's neurology - strong, curious, and unafraid of falling. But we're adults now. We can't simply return to childhood. Patterns are established. Neural pathways are worn deep from years of repetition. So what do we do? We recognize that consciousness is neurology. That perception is what we see. That we can change both. Be pure intelligence. The way back to this intelligence is through the body. Stand outside in the cold. Barefoot on the earth. Let the winter air prickle your skin. Stay there until your mind goes quiet and only sensation remains. The cold forces you into the present moment. The stress cannot maintain its loops when your body is demanding your full attention. Negative patterns dissolve in the face of immediate physical reality. This is not punishment. This is liberation. In the cold, you remember what the child knew. That you are alive and it is exciting. That each moment is fresh. That growth is not something you achieve but something you allow. Your neurology changes in the cold. New pathways open and old patterns lose their grip. The expansive consciousness of childhood becomes accessible again. Your beautiful soul is eternal. I think it’s time to talk about it 🙂‍↕️ I was delaying it because the scene messed me up in every possible way. From the moment he entered the room panting in anger, to the moment he subconsciously hid her behind his back to protect her when he heard the Kordağlıs were coming. When he entered the room like that (and he even knocked, but… since when does Serhat knock? 🌚), he scared her, because a part of her knew exactly how crazy this would make him. Because despite everything he did, despite the divorces and all the silence, she always knew he cared. And hell… he DID 😭 Serhat shouting “You can’t marry” in the same place where he once told her “It’s your life, I’m not responsible for it”??? C I N E M A! Yıldız gasping, crying, trying to catch her breath while arguing… #BiranDamlaYılmaz , you did NOT have to be this perfect 😭 When she said “Bir kere sen çıldır, yeter,” she was at her limit. There was that tiny second of silence while she was desperately gasping, and he just looked at her, helpless, not knowing how to save both of them from this mess. Y: You gave up on me. S: No, YOU gave up on me. With all disrespect… Sir??? I know he didn’t mean to hurt her, I know he was hurting too, but accusing HER of giving up, when from her POV he is the one who let go? She is the only one living in uncertainty from day one. He can’t expect her to read his mind. When she asked him to say he didn’t give up on her… imagine his position. Everything she said, he wanted to agree with. “I didn’t give up on you. I remember kissing you. I was about to divorce Melek and marry you.” He was swallowing everything, suffering in silence, because in his mind saying that would be selfish. He was still trying to avoid that red zone. NOW. THE MIRROR SCENE. First of all, why is no one talking about how he grabbed her with ONE HAND without even looking at her? He knew exactly where she was. Her surprised gasp?? His husky voice??? #ilhanşen canım abim, if you continue like this, Serhat will be the last character I watch from you because I will ascend to heaven. Have mercy on me big boy 🌚 Making them watch themselves in the mirror was WILD, Ercan hocam. If the scene was 100% intense, the mirror made it 10000%. His hand on her waist, her looking so tiny. His other hand slowly moving her hair. His face on her head next to her ear, sniffing her scent, looking… lustful, angry, desperate. The mix of desire and rage in his eyes??? EXCUSE ME??? He didn’t even touch the tattoo on her chest. He was locking her in place, making sure she couldn’t escape (as if she could). When he turned her around, he kept her trapped in his arms. He wasn’t testing her. He KNOWS she loves him. He was trying to speak without words. “This is what I feel. I messed up. But this is what I want.” But she needed words. She DESERVED words. He definitely was going for a kiss , and she pulled away. Because she is angry. Hurt. M convinced her she is a burden, and he never denied it with words. His silence confirmed everything in her mind. When he closed his eyes in that silence, realising that by trying to protect her with silence, he destroyed her AGAIN! Her cracked voice saying, “You still didn’t say you didn’t give up on me,” I wanted to hug her and cry until sunrise 😭 Then she put her strong mask back on, telling him not to enter her room like that, because she will soon be engaged💔 And btw, I’m 100% sure if it wasn’t for the Kordağlıs, he would NOT have left without kissing her. In my head, they kissed. There is no universe where Serhat left that room untouched after that tension. I tried my best to write with my sanity on! Just an advice 👀 try to catch ilhan’s panting in the beginning 🤤 they are delicious🫦 I know it turned out to be too long but the scene is quite long and full of details. He lives off his farm, minding his own business and staying true to a lifestyle he has embraced for years. He’s not pretending to be anyone else. He’s not chasing clout. He’s real. And above all, he is deeply social, friendly, and grounded in his community—the kind of person whose presence lifts others, whose voice calms tension, and whose heart beats for a better Uganda. Not everyone earns a living behind a desk in a white-collar job. People hustle in different ways to survive. As products of the ghetto and the grassroots, we understand what real struggle and real sacrifice look like—and we recognize sincerity when we see it. Rasta Tadeo gave from his heart. His sacrifice speaks louder than the mockery of keyboard critics who wouldn’t dare part with even a fraction of what he gave. The fact that he contributed his hard-earned money—something many of his loudest critics would cry over if asked—should be honored, not ridiculed. A couple of days back I had massive anxiety & I used my best friend, as always, as a punching bag, felt terrible about it. But the venting & purging healed me & showed me the mirror. I will be 49 in a month & I still have this occasionally. It was a small trigger that brought back old scars & self doubt with it. It usually happens when I’m overworked & don’t schedule slow down/ silence moments for calming my mind. It’s never easy for anyone including me to openly talk about these vulnerable moments esp in the cut throat business world where right off the bat you are judged as “ is she strong enough to lead this large & complex business” “ that’s the problem w women leaders, too emotional” such statements are thrown at you when you discuss your weak moments but I want to change that narrative. I have a voice & I want to use that for such unspoken topics, otherwise what’s the point ? Yes, I can have weak moments but oh yes I can bounce back & kick ass at my job too. Yes, I will also share this & my learning’s so that anyone out there who isn’t lucky enough like me to have a best friend/ bouncing board, can maybe find strength in my story to feel normal & to get the courage to smile & keep fighting ! Why I Stopped Going to Church And No, It's Not Because I Hate God. → Church stopped feeling like a place of worship... it started feeling like a business center. Every Sunday: "Sow this... give that... seed for breakthrough... seed for protection... seed for long life!" It's spiritual celebrity culture. → Too many pastors preaching what they don't practice. They shout "stop fornication!" But they're privately doing counseling sessions at 11pm. → The church turned into gossip headquarters. Before you even finish giving testimony,somebody at the back has already said: "Na lie she dey talk." or "I know her ex oh." → The judgment is too much. I have always argued that Ndebele is not just a cultural language, it is a business language. Our biggest trading partner is South Africa. They speak Zulu, which is closely related to Ndebele. If you speak Ndebele and you arrive in Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town, you are immediately at home. You understand them, they understand you. Business becomes easier. When you speak a person’s language, you speak to their heart. That is what Nelson Mandela meant. And if you look at everyday life, Shona-speaking traders travel to South Africa more than they travel anywhere else. Yet they cannot speak the language that dominates that market but is spoken in their country. That is an economic loss created by political short-sightedness. The Chinese are not learning African languages for fun. They learn them to do business and, yes, even for espionage. Meanwhile, some Zimbabwean politicians discourage their own people from learning languages that would empower them, while their own children are fluent in French, English, Portuguese, and Mandarin. Across Africa, the most widely used languages outside vernacular ones are English, French, and Portuguese, with Spanish in Equatorial Guinea. Yet you still hear politicians calling French “neocolonial” if ordinary children are taught it, while their own children attend French schools, hold foreign passports, and work in international institutions. Look at Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government. Several senior officials hold American, British, Australian, or European passports. Nick Mangwana is a British citizen, yet he insults Zimbabweans who take up British citizenship. That level of hypocrisy tells you everything. Serious countries invest in language. Britain and America have entire divisions staffed by people who specialise in Mandarin and Arabic. These are the most sought-after languages in global intelligence and diplomacy. They do this for national self-interest. We should do the same. When I was studying Film at Brunel University in England, I tried to enrol in a Mandarin course. I could not get in. The moment the registration link went live, every place was taken. The British understand the value of language. That is why if you visit China today, you will find Chinese people who speak Shona. They study us more seriously than we study ourselves. It breaks my heart that 45 years after independence, Zimbabwean leaders still do not understand the importance of teaching Ndebele compulsorily. Someone will ask, what about Shangani? But the point I am making is simple, Ndebele is economically strategic for Zimbabwe. It is the bridge language to our biggest market. When you speak Zulu in South Africa, even Xhosa speakers will understand you. It is a regional business language, and every Zimbabwean should know it. I am 54 years old. It is too late for me. But young Zimbabweans must be given this advantage. Languages also reduce political toxicity. I speak Zezuru, chiManyika, and Karanga because I went to school in the Midlands and I am Barwe. I can switch between them easily. It dismantles ethnic suspicion. If I had learned Ndebele, it would have enriched my life even more, especially now that I partly live in South Africa. Now coming to international languages. If French were made compulsory in Zimbabwean schools, job and business opportunities for our children would double instantly. Half of Africa speaks French. We speak English, but we do not speak French. That puts us at a disadvantage. If you go to the DRC or Congo-Brazzaville or Côte d’Ivoire or Senegal, French opens doors. With French, you do business without interpreters. Countries with intelligent leadership understand this. Look at Rwanda. Today they are bilingual in international languages. If you speak English, they respond in English. If you speak French, they respond in French. That is leadership. Not this village thinking that learning another language “undermines culture”. If we were serious about Pan-Africanism, I should be able to go to Algeria and work there because I speak French. An Algerian should be able to work in Zimbabwe because they speak English. That is how continental integration works. If we had serious thinkers at the African Union instead of political actors, Africa would be far ahead. Africa is the richest continent in the world in minerals, yet we remain poor because of leaders who cannot grasp basic developmental logic. It breaks my heart to see Zimbabweans miss opportunities simply because they do not speak French or Ndebele. They lose jobs, lose contracts, lose global relevance. Meanwhile, the elites’ children speak these languages fluently and work at the United Nations. When you apply for a UN job, the first question from Zimbabwe is often, “Do you speak French?” It immediately puts you ahead of others if the answer is yes. I pray that one day Zimbabwe will have leadership that understands these simple, basic, yet transformative principles. Because language is not politics. Language is power. Language is economics. Language is opportunity. Language is the future. Now, some will argue that those who want to speak Ndebele should simply learn it on their own. But that is not how any serious society operates if it wants genuine transformation. Languages are taught institutionally, through schools, not left to chance or to individual families. Before children learn about Picasso or the Renaissance, they should be grounded in languages that will shape their economic, social, and intellectual futures. If you leave it to parents, you immediately create inequality. What happens to a child whose parents are poor, who cannot afford private lessons, or who do not understand the long-term economic value of languages? That child is left behind through no fault of their own. This is exactly why government exists, to intervene where inequality would otherwise reproduce itself, and to make sure that opportunities are structured, not accidental. When languages are taught at school, they become institutional, accessible, and universal. They stop being optional and become part of a national developmental strategy. That is how you build a society that transforms itself economically, intellectually, and socially. That is how you open the minds of citizens and give every child, rich or poor, a genuine chance to compete in the region, on the continent, and in the world.

Analyzing Episode 33. Season 3 aka Of Breaking Out, Waking Up and Fighting Together Evvvveeeettttt. Feels good to be back at analyzing Far City. And, it feels especially good to analyze ep 33 because it was a whopper of an episode. The flow of events, the dialogues, and the acting were all top-notch. Brilliant work. Now, let's get down to business. The episode kicks off with Sadotor (an amalgamation of Sadakat and dementor because fcuk if this woman doesn't suck all the happiness from any room she's in) kicking up a fuss and demanding Ciho and Alya get divorced. Now, I don't know if you've read my analysis of the Far City title song, but in it, I said from the lyrics and picturization of 'de mardin', it seems like Uzak Sehir is a tale of a land lost within its own oppressive history, crying out for a change. And the catalyst for that change is none other than Alya Albora. In the opening scene of ep 33, I was reminded yet again of why Alya is such an important character for this story - not just for Cihan, but also for Albora. Because Alya doesn't stand silent in the face of injustice or wrongdoing. She speaks out. Fearlessly. And each of her words helps lighten some of the burden of systematic abuse, both in the Albora family and the land. Some folks were calling out Alya for not loving Cihan enough or feeling something for Boran in ep32. I hope y'all have been satisfied. Because the only thing Alya feels for Frankenboran is disdain and anger. Rightly so. When Sadakat tries to pin the blame of 'shameless' on Alya and Cihan, Alya reads her the riot act and reminds her exactly of all the things Sadator has done that she should be ashamed of. She reminds her of the will imposed on her and Cihan. Something that Boran should be ashamed of. And then she points out that the only victims in this sorry tale are her, Cihan, and Deniz, because it's their lives that Boran and Sadator almost destroy. Lives that Sadotor is still trying to destroy. And let me tell you - THANK GOD. Because it was about time someone started speaking the truth in that household. That what Boran did wasn't some kind of supreme sacrifice - it was extreme selfishness. Like Alya says, when Boran sends her to Albora, to Sadotor, he knows exactly the kind of hell his mother is capable of unleashing. But instead of being truthful to his wife, Frankenboran gives Cihan one set of instructions, Vurgun another set of instructions, and tells Alya nothing at all. A more assholish move I've yet to see from a husband. Suffice it to say, Alya Albora wipes the floor with Sadotor with the truth. Because the truth can be a weapon in the hands of the oppressed, as long as they have the courage to speak. Something that's highly necessary for the Albora clan. My queen, that's all I can say for Alya. Now, let's switch to Ciho. Just like people were calling Alya ungrateful last week, folks are lynching Ciho for being a 'coward.' Le sigh. I mean, if that's the way you wanna go, no one's gonna stop you. But Cihan Albora is no coward. He's just a man, catching up to his learning curve. When Cihan tells Sadotor 'I wish you weren't my mom' I felt heartbroken for him. I was also incredibly, incredibly proud. Because just like Alya is breaking out of the circle of abuse, Cihan is waking up to his mother's constant, vile manipulation. The next scene that most stood out was Alya and Cihan's heart-to-heart along the banks of the Tigris. And, once again, let me say, I LOVE Alya Albora. She does love fearlessly, this woman. Which is why she tells Cihan outright that when Boran wakes up, she will divorce his ass. So, why does Cihan not come up with an equally kick-ass declaration? Because he's like the Eupharates, remember? Silent waters run deep, and Cihan's character isn't one to rush. Does that mean he's having second thoughts about Alya? HELL NO. The reason he's hesitant is because 1. he's not sure about Alya's feelings (until she tells him in that moment), and 2. he's the one who'll be burning bridges when this showdown happens. He doesn't regret falling in love with Alya, but when you're standing at the edge of a precipice, about to take a leap of faith, you can't help but think about what you're about to do. I know a lot of you had problems with him calling Alya Boran's wife legally, but he's trying to give her room and gauge her reaction. Remember, this is the guy who forces Alya to marry him in the beginning, and he still regrets that. He doesn't want a repeat. Then there's the fact that whether Alya wants to stay with him or go back to Boran is her decision. He knows that. He's shit scared of it, but he knows, if either Deniz or Alya wants to 'go back' to the status quo, they'd be well within their rights. He even says as much. So he keeps asking what if Boran wants you, because saying what if you want Boran is beyond horror. It's a death sentence for Cihan, and he knows it. His efforts finally bear fruit when Alya tells him straight up, she doesn't want Boran and that she wants to stay with the man she loves. The relief on Cihan's face is palpable then. Cihan once tells Sahin that when making a decision, it's best to focus on what you'll be giving up to help make up your mind. Alya is his very life; he makes that clear when he says, 'Sen bana nefes oldu.' So, giving her up is not an option. What that also means is that the brotherhood he's prized all his life (whether rightly or wrongly) will fall under fire, and he won't be able to stop it. And, how that will affect other parts of their lives is up in the air, so you can't blame the man for taking a moment to process. Neither he nor Alya have it easy, but in this case, Alya feels easier to break away. Cihan needs to shed a lifetime of memories he's burdened with. But, despite all that, I'm glad Alya tells him that if he doesn't have the courage to stand with her, she won't go back to Boran. As jarring as her words are, they act as a sort of wake-up call. Reminding Cihan what's at stake. That's needed, and you can see the effect they have almost a few scenes later. When Cihan is talking to Sadotor to ask her to leave Deniz alone, he finally drops his nice-guy act and threatens her exactly the way she operates. Tit for tat. And that made me really happy, because both he and Alya will need to be unrepentant and perhaps even ruthless to save their relationship from what's coming. What sets CihAl apart is their ability to read each other and to communicate. That comes through very clearly in this episode. Another thing that's made obvious is that these two not only belong together (Dicla and Firat) but also that they're never going to give up on each other. To wrap things up, ep 33 marks another turning point in CihAl's lives. This episode seemed to give me 'emancipation' vibes. Alya tears down the walls of guilt and silence that surround Albora ailesi. Meanwhile, Cihan starts taking apart the shackles his past and Sadotor's manipulation have forged around him since childhood. When Cihan tells Sadotor 'I wish you weren't my mom' I felt heartbroken for him. I was also incredibly, incredibly proud. Because just like Alya is breaking out of the circle of abuse, Cihan is waking up to his mother's constant, vile manipulation. The next scene that most stood out was Alya and Cihan's heart-to-heart along the banks of the Tigris. And, once again, let me say, I LOVE Alya Albora. She does love fearlessly, this woman. Which is why she tells Cihan outright that when Boran wakes up, she will divorce his ass. So, why does Cihan not come up with an equally kick-ass declaration? Because he's like the Eupharates, remember? Silent waters run deep, and Cihan's character isn't one to rush. Does that mean he's having second thoughts about Alya? HELL NO. The reason he's hesitant is because 1. he's not sure about Alya's feelings (until she tells him in that moment), and 2. he's the one who'll be burning bridges when this showdown happens. He doesn't regret falling in love with Alya, but when you're standing at the edge of a precipice, about to take a leap of faith, you can't help but think about what you're about to do. I know a lot of you had problems with him calling Alya Boran's wife legally, but he's trying to give her room and gauge her reaction. Remember, this is the guy who forces Alya to marry him in the beginning, and he still regrets that. He doesn't want a repeat. Then there's the fact that whether Alya wants to stay with him or go back to Boran is her decision. He knows that. He's shit scared of it, but he knows, if either Deniz or Alya wants to 'go back' to the status quo, they'd be well within their rights. He even says as much. So he keeps asking what if Boran wants you, because saying what if you want Boran is beyond horror. It's a death sentence for Cihan, and he knows it. His efforts finally bear fruit when Alya tells him straight up, she doesn't want Boran and that she wants to stay with the man she loves. The relief on Cihan's face is palpable then. Cihan once tells Sahin that when making a decision, it's best to focus on what you'll be giving up to help make up your mind. Alya is his very life; he makes that clear when he says, 'Sen bana nefes oldu.' So, giving her up is not an option. What that also means is that the brotherhood he's prized all his life (whether rightly or wrongly) will fall under fire, and he won't be able to stop it. And, how that will affect other parts of their lives is up in the air, so you can't blame the man for taking a moment to process. Neither he nor Alya have it easy, but in this case, Alya feels easier to break away. Cihan needs to shed a lifetime of memories he's burdened with. But, despite all that, I'm glad Alya tells him that if he doesn't have the courage to stand with her, she won't go back to Boran. As jarring as her words are, they act as a sort of wake-up call. Reminding Cihan what's at stake. That's needed, and you can see the effect they have almost a few scenes later. When Cihan is talking to Sadotor to ask her to leave Deniz alone, he finally drops his nice-guy act and threatens her exactly the way she operates. Tit for tat. And that made me really happy, because both he and Alya will need to be unrepentant and perhaps even ruthless to save their relationship from what's coming. What sets CihAl apart is their ability to read each other and to communicate. That comes through very clearly in this episode. Another thing that's made obvious is that these two not only belong together (Dicla and Firat) but also that they're never going to give up on each other. To wrap things up, ep 33 marks another turning point in CihAl's lives. This episode seemed to give me 'emancipation' vibes. Alya tears down the walls of guilt and silence that surround Albora ailesi. Meanwhile, Cihan starts taking apart the shackles his past and Sadotor's manipulation have forged around him since childhood.
