As the Patrick Kane signing as sunk in more as the day has gone on, I keep thinking of him watching the tribute video his first game back in Chicago with Detroit. He was going through it and it was written all over his face. Typically you get the smile and wave, maybe wipe a tear, but he was torn up. He snapped out of it after the first lap when he finally just took it all in. Truly believe if it was always up to him, he would've never left. Rebuild and all. Patrick Kane is Chicago, man. This man decided to get his repairs done by someone who can do it cheaper and ended up almost doubling his repair bill just to try to save himself $400. Back in 2003 I had someone hit and run my new car. The rear bumper needed replaced, it was barely hanging on by a thread. I was new to how insurance worked and decided to have it fixed out of pocket. I shopped around and most shops were pretty close in price except for one. The owner was very arrogant and spoke about how he was the best around and I would be silly to take it anywhere else for my repairs. After I got the car back, I noticed that he did not do any prep work at all, how he got the part was how he painted it. There was a parts sticker on the bumper and he painted right over it. He didn’t even check the paint code. He saw a black bumper and proceeded to paint it black even though the paint didn’t match. When I confronted him about how unhappy I was about the steps he didn’t do, he defended his work by saying I didn’t specify I wanted it prepped. He blamed me for his shortcomings. Initially he even refused to refund me but ended up refunding me the money minus the cost of the wrong shade paint.

watching the trailer again it seems to me like chan is being given 2 options 🤔 this (the regular life where he had a normal job) or that (the life where he's rich and famous). even though he tries to choose 'this', his voice comes out all distorted and the barista insists on giving him 'that'. and even the cup that he presented as 'this' was turned so it actually read 'that'. as if he never had a choice at all and his fate was already decided for him

If you watch closely, you can see the sparks ⚡️ it’s rare to see it come up on camera 📸 it was 104 degrees today in Pennsylvania from this heat wave and my phones overheated so had to wait until the sun went down to start chopping wood - I’ll do it again if you like seeing the sparks!
