Q-It's Monza next, Kimi's got an engine penalty maybe, so with the race pace you've showed, can you hope to really, well maybe challenge for the win? "Well, I really hope so. I mean, obviously Monza is extremely special as a Ferrari driver, and for Kimi as well, I'm sure, but I don't really know what to expect. If I look at Silverstone and Spa on paper, it was kind of like Monza, where we expected to struggle and were a lot stronger than we expected. I hope that happens again the same in Monza, but if you ask me as of now, I will tell you it's probably going to be a difficult weekend."

Sir Lewis Hamilton's beautiful words about having his mum with him this weekend 🥹 "I've been trying to get my mum to come on the road for a while and she hasn't wanted to travel the last couple of years so she's only come to Silverstone for like the last.. God knows how many years.. and I tried to get her out of her comfort zone last year and bring her to Canada." "I wanted to take her to Lake Louise and so many beautiful places in Canada to visit and excuses kept coming up and so she promised me end of the year she said next year is the year I want to travel with you so we did China together which was honestly the best time we'd ever had together and and then she asked me if she could come to Montreal and I was like absolutely but I think also because it is a really great city to come to it's really good restaurants here there's such a buzz in town and I was like do you want to bring a friend and she's like no I just want to come spend time with you." "So you know we have just a great time she's really my best friend so I'm really grateful that she's taking the time to come and be here. I think probably the energy it's always it definitely makes a difference to your weekend when you have support from your family and the fact that we're on the road all the time you don't always get to see your family it's really really nice [to] have that and and also to get to... you know, when she came to China I got to show her all the team she loved being around the team she felt really integrated with the team and they made her feel so welcome and she loved being around Italians and the food was great so yeah so I'm really I'm excited for her to be here and fingers crossed she'll come tomorrow." “This year you won Monaco, you won Silverstone, and you won the World Championship. What else is there left to do?” Lando: “I mean, they're really the best ones. Just downhill from here. I would have loved to make my life a bit easier and winning just earlier next time. But it's always more exciting when it kind of goes down to the final race, final few laps. It's more exciting for everyone, for you guys most of all. But I won ones that, again, people have dreamt of winning. There are some of the most incredible ones. The lap I did in Monaco in quali was the only other time, probably in the last 10 years, that I cried a little bit over something. Because there I proved myself wrong. It was one other moment this season that I proved myself wrong. Because I had that bad run of results. I just couldn't perform in qualifying. Qualifying has always been my strong suit, my best. Yeah, it's been my strength since I was in karting. All my qualifying results are my thing and they weren’t at the beginning of the season. So, when I went to the hardest track to do a qualifying lap in, I turned off my delta for the first time that weekend. So, I couldn't see if I was on a better lap, worse lap, whatever it was. It's not been my best track in the past. For me to then to go there and put that lap I put in at the end of qualifying was one of the best moments of my career in a way because it was the time I almost doubted myself the most ever. In the most important season that it turned out to be. So, but that one lap, 1 minute 9 seconds was all it needed for me to flip everything and turn that thought of ‘I just don't know if I got this’ to ‘oh, I can definitely do this.’ And that was a pivotal moment for me up here.”

I think about, I think about my mistake that I made yesterday, so I take full responsibility really for the fourth place I ended up getting because I damaged the car, then when they rebuilt the car they missed something on the suspension, so the balance was completely different, so that meant I was probably a good couple tenths, maybe three tenths slower than I should have been in qualifying, and then I ended up further back, got in the incident, five second penalty, so just like a domino effect from I think a decision mistake from myself, so, but the team have been doing a great job with strategy, pit stops, we are continuing to improve the car, I think our pace today without the damage, I think we could have been challenging for the win." Q: Yeah, we're waiting on the obviously the release, and you were looking for a front wing change, and I think he's fine, and you were immediately concerned for him, but you're worried you might pick up a penalty for that. "I mean, I don't know what, I mean I didn't do, I did what the green light went, and so I went, you're looking over here, you're not looking over there, so that's more kind of probably on the team ultimately, but I'm just, when it happened, then I noticed him and I stopped, and I might just, what went through my mind in that moment was back when Kimi hit and broke a leg, and my heart really sank for a second, but I'm really grateful he's okay."
