The first pirated game I ever had. A friend of my dad’s came round and knew I was into computers. He brought this on a CD for me.

Of all the SIM games, Sim City 2000 was the best. The power of creating a city, manage it and then destroy it... ahhh so good!

Played it for days on end growing up! One of my favorite scenarios was Flint MI. All you have to do was lower taxes to a reasonable rate, maybe add a couple water pumps, and it would basically fix itself by the scenario end time. Such a great game!

I loved it, although I spent way more hours on SimTower…

I learned about arcologies from SimCity 2000. Maybe one day we can live in a Launch Arco.

I loved when you had a smoggy city with high pollution the alien would drop windmills all over your city..! 😂

There's was like a whole term in 10th grade where they let us play the entire time in class. It ended up being one of the most relevant classes in real world education learning about planning, infrastructure, budgeting, etc.

I remember playing this on a Tandy 486DX with 107MB HDD and 4 MB of RAM. Had to make a boot disc to bypass the CD-ROM startup because it used too much memory and the game wouldn’t run.
