What a stupid method which will not work in practice. Take off the cassette and put it in an ultrasonic cleaner instead or even better don't get your drive train dirty in the first place and use hot wax instead of wet lube

Cleaning something that needs to be lubricated and then not re-lubricating it after will do more damage then having dirty lubrication on it to begin with

thats brand new with light oil on it.. try it when it got 1000 kms on it.. Bet you it will not come off that easy.

Hahaha, I did this as kid in primary school in my balcony bicycle “repair shop “ on 19th floor. Used benzin or diesel. Even teachers came and brought me there’s bicycles to service it. And mostly I got good grades too automatically, was fun.
