Benefits, my honest view. I think decent, hardworking men and women all over the country are becoming increasingly irritated with indolent scroungers who spend their days doing sod all, living off the back of actual hardworking taxpayers. It is an insult. Let me be abundantly clear. Of course, there needs to be a proper safety net for those who need the help - the genuinely ill/disabled, and those who have fallen on hard times who require support to bring them back into the workplace. But there are vast numbers who are taking the piss, to be quite frank. Whether through outright fraud, or simply taking advantage of a ridiculously inept system. 23 per cent of the working-age population now in receipt of some form of benefits - this is outrageous. It is FAR too high. Many on for mental health related issues... ‘New Telegraph analysis of government data found the number of people claiming Pip for “anxiety disorders” and “anxiety and depressive disorders” has doubled from 230,667 in 2020 to 461,826 in January this year.’ It's the new 'bad back'. Half a million people. This is INSANITY. It simply has to be brutally slashed down. Foreign national households claimed almost one billion in benefits in March - nearly a sixth of the month’s Universal Credit payments. Just think about that... One billion a year in Universal Credit on refugee households. It is absolutely mental that we are paying illegal migrants benefits. And we wonder why they keep coming?! We cannot afford this. I don’t know how else to say this - WE ARE BROKE. How can we fix it? Labour is unable, the Tories seem unwilling, and Reform inexplicably wants to expand the welfare state - even paying foreigners on benefits to have more children. Stop benefits for foreign nationals, other than those who have contributed for 10+ years, and get these millions of healthy Brits back to work. An immediate ban on illegal migrants claiming benefits. If you arrived illegally, you don't get a penny (other than a one-way plane ticket home). The two-child cap MUST stay. Reform, chasing votes, wants to lift it. This is filthy politics. No, it must stay at two. What message are we sending to youngsters? Do sod all and you’ll get rewarded for it? We must make work pay. If you do a proper day’s work, you should ALWAYS be significantly better off than if you were to claim benefits. The benefits system is a a sprawling, bloated trap - encouraging dependency, punishing work, and bleeding the country dry. Britain doesn’t need mass immigration. It needs to get the British working. I’ll get insulted and abused for stating these undeniable facts, but it’s true and we all know it - politicians should have the courage to say so. We must end the madness. Work must be rewarded. Responsibility must return.

'If you're not trans, a migrant or a raving lefty activist, you will be treated harsher by the courts in this country!' @EssexPR on two-tier justice in the UK.
