Simpsons doing official NFL sponsored content for Disney’s ESPN might seem new, but they already did it back in the nineties. When their corporate overlords were News Corp, Bart & Homer crossed over with NFL on Fox in a little seen (but very real) segment on September 3, 1995:

Imagine waking up from a coma after 29 years, and NFL on Fox has practically the same lineup. 😂

I love how they reused Terry Bradshaw's design from this commercial in the show itself for season 17, just with whiter hair

The entire segment w/Fox introducing their games for 1995 Week 1 Yes, the defending champion 49ers opened that season at Saints. Twas a different time

They also had then-NFL on Fox commentators John Madden and Pat Summerall in the Season 10 episode "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday" where Homer befriends a travel agent who sets him, Bart and many of Springfield's own up on a trip to the Super Bowl. As is tradition, hilarity ensues.

@DragonflyJonez “I can only imagine your pain.”

So you mean what?

Id never seen this before. Thanks!
