That request is definitely on the list of todo's already! In fact, I think the majority of developers would want to have a fixed asset to always be returned during development. The magic is a combination of private APIs, swizzling, and library injection. The Simulator truly believes there's input capture devices. Took me some time to figure it out, and it might turn out to be too fragile, but the camera APIs have had a major update last year so I have good hope my strategy will remain sustainable for the foreseeable future!
