Since Bitcoin, a major open problem in distributed systems was whether proof-of-work consensus can be implemented on top of real-world computation rather than useless random hashing. This challenge of PoUW was repeatedly conjectured impossible by researchers and thought leaders. They were wrong.

Btw - Wazirx timeline calculator, proof of reserves have not been updated for over 4 months now. On top of that LIVE POR which nischal promised was never delivered - So we will never know if distribution date is fair or not.

Idk who needs to hear this but #Bitcoin and #XRP are going to succeed together. They are complimentary systems. One, proof of work, which gives these tokens actual value through real-world energy output, and the other, a consensus algorithm, to move these energy-backed tokens of the future (as well as any other currencies/tokenized assets) most efficiently. They aren’t competitors. It isn’t one or the other. It is both. Deal with it.
