Let’s stop the bullshit. Criticising a government is NOT hatred toward a religion and if you deliberately blur that line, you’re not defending people… you’re shutting down debate. Blanket hatred toward ANY group is weak but selective outrage and picking who is allowed to be criticised is just coward behaviour dressed up as morality. The double standard is impossible to ignore. Burning the Australian flag is framed as “expression,” yet doing the same to other symbols is suddenly unacceptable. Can someone explain to me how it’s “Islamophobic” to be deeply alarmed by this? I’m not quoting critics of Islam. I’m not “misinterpreting” texts. I’m literally listening to Muslims themselves clearly affirm that, in an ideal Islamic state, apostates should be executed and that blasphemy deserves death as well. If that truly reflects their theology and their model society, why is fear considered irrational or bigoted? It isn’t hatred of Muslims to say this is terrifying, it’s a sober response to what the doctrine itself demands. In a Christian ideal society, people are free to believe or not believe. Violence is not the enforcement tool of orthodoxy. The highest moral expression is love, not compulsion. So why is it wrong to say that people have a legitimate reason to be afraid of a system that openly sanctions death for disbelief or criticism?

I don’t know if Elijah Schaefer is actually guilty of defamation or libel, that’s for a jury to decide. What I do know is this trend with the “new media” needs to stop, because it’s destroying the right’s credibility. If the way it stops is a few of the top sensationalist grifters being sued into poverty, GOOD! In this country, people have the right to criticise religion. But there’s a clear line between criticism and the degradation of women. What we’re seeing here is the sexualisation and humiliation of brown women. That should never be acceptable.
