Since the ban announcement, the Command Zone office hasn't been talking about anything else. Here are our initial reactions, where do YOU stand?

best thing about Commander is that you can still play with those cards if you want oh and anyone talking about financial value should just stop trying to make a game into financial assets

I think it proved how out of touch and unnecessary the RC is

Mana Crypt lasted for about 20 years before it got banned. Why...now...

I have seen no one make an argument for these bans being bad besides "the cards were expensive", "rule 0 fixes everything" and "this hurts cedh". The last one is the only one I think holds any water. Generally, i think these are ok bans

Indifferent on Nadu, ecstatic on all the others. I really disliked Dockside (Yes, I maindecked Leyline of Singularity to force treasure us on ETB...I'm that petty) and the other two were egregiously heinously too fast.

I see a problem. Mr. Jimmy said replace with basic lands when we all know for a fact that he tends to not draw/miss many of those (at least on video). Might I suggest a elf/simian spirit guide or pristine Talisman that gives you life?

My video snippet would be me balled up in a corner crying.

In a way, I feel...relieved? Like, I definitely feel for those in a rough spot mentally and emotionally. That said, if I saw one more turn two Voja, turn three Miirym, or joke about "This card breaks Dockside," I was gonna lose my marbles.

I don't think the issue is so much the ban, but how it was handled. The greater conversation is now evolving into a concern for a lack of transparency and an imbalance of power with the RC being able to make snap decisions with no notice.

I've started magic with dockside and jeweled lotus in one of my strongest high power decks (Muxus). After these bans I'm just heartbroken and going to quit MTG..
