since when could youtube captions do this????

for years

i should leave captions on more often it seems..

iirc a lot of Kikuo’s old music does this sort of thing with the subtitles

i bet you never saw what magic eve do in their MVs with youtube captions

Newgen

unfortunately no

@Paizuri_chicken Just larper then

@NotSoGenesiz @Paizuri_chicken How do you larp YouTube

@Fran_underline @NotSoGenesiz By not removing shorts from your feed for starters

@Fran_underline @NotSoGenesiz How do you do that I actually want it gone

@Paizuri_chicken @Fran_underline on mobile i think you can go into the settings and in the time management tab you can set the shorts feed limit to 0 minutes to prevent them from showing up

For quite awhile. I learned about it through this video before having to see these cool captions subtitle video on occasion (video by Seiko Teswood)

Kikuo has been doing this for years

The Youtube video player supports modern subtitle formats but the native subtitle editor only allows for static, single colour, single block subtitles

wait i thought this kind of caption got removed by YouTube?

Another one of these, PC recommended (also yes, youtube likes to break these every now and then)

You should take a gander at the captions for this song man. It's some insane sorcery.

I must obtain the ancient texts...

great example of this in translation!!

For years. Check out some of Eve's videos along with Doomer by Tokyo Manaka.

He's been doing this for years

@ContentLeaf_ Doing captions like this is its own form of art

I really like how the captions look here

Wait, so the captions are just casually narrating the plot now?

Youtube captions can do a lot

and i thought banyue's ep. had peak captions

look at

awhile it's just that nobody uses subtitles like this since they're already annoying as is

someone's never watched an EVE music video

Oh, since a lot

for years on PC, I didn't know they could on mobile though

Since at least 2008 lol

Always Here in Brazil, there's a musical genre known as geek rap/anime rap, and many music videos of this genre work wonders with YouTube's subtitles (in addition to the animated editing of the clips themselves)

check this shit out

My Favorite Example Of This Type Of Captioning

someones never watched a kikuo video like, ever.

power of terry did this about 5-6 something years ago, genuinely insane production quality

a REALLY long time, but since absolutely no one wants to customize captions it also takes a long time for u to find a video that uses it.

Show them the Kaikai Kitan vid

have you ever seen the captions of ashite dude
