It's insane to me that anyone in the West can watch this and not understand that it's an effective genocide that's taking place. Anyone that doesn't want to fight, likely because they oppose the war or are the minorities that Ukraine claims it was not going to eradicate, are being forcibly thrown in front of cannons, knowing they will almost certainly die within a week. How is this accepted by anyone that believes in human rights? The dispute over territory and national integrity is being lost by the sight of videos and actions like this. Do we want to defend a country that is willing to force innocent people to their death? If the counter is that people should be forced to stand for their country, then perhaps the country should ask why they refuse.

In Germany, the supreme court recently ruled that the right to conscientious objection is suspended in the event of war. This means that conscientious objection is only permitted in peacetime. What incredible nonsense.
