Sing ‼️ 🔊 Blu Cantrell “Hit ’Em Up Style (Oops!)” (2001)🚨

What is this 😂

I remember listening to it when I was 14/15 and I loved it ❤️. Such a great song 😀

She can sang!

That 1930s jazz sample mixed with pure R&B had everyone spending their exes' cash. 💸💅 🤔 Fun Fact: The song was born from a real moment of crisis. Blu wrote the lyrics after finding out her boyfriend was cheating; she literally went into the studio with a broken heart and came out with a Top 10 Billboard hit. 🎶 Did you know? 🤯

Blu would have gone so much further if could have actually separated her from the pack. Vocally she’s truly in the Faith Evans family which is what everyone always said when this came out “Is that Faith?” And visually, she looked like a newly slim Faith too and a multitude of other R&B girls who were light skinned with light hair. Being able to sing is one thing, having an identity of your own musically is another. I don’t feel we ever got “true Blu” on either album. Shout out to Ciara who wrote on Blu’s debut album. CiCi been in these streets!

Growing up I always thought faith Evan’s was singing lol

Too bad she dated Jay-Z, they shut her down quickly, to give Beyoncé the clear lane. Among other great female singers of that time.

@XXXWhiteFox I always thought that was faith evans

God, she was a talent. 💜🎶 I hope she's doing alright.

So talented!

Love this tune 💿

👏🏼

Who the fuck posts the last 40 seconds of a song…dumb ass account gave us the outro

Gizelle did her big one!!!

For the longest time, I thought this was a Mary J. Blige song.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 A club banger, this was!!

Was OBSESSED with this song in elementary school 🥹💜 I hope Blu is doing well!!

I grew up thinking that Mary j. Blige sung this

This is who JAYZ really wanted not beyonce when she denied him they blackballed her and he made that b girl into blues image. Funny how they stole Cathy’s baby names her after who he really wanted and cashes the checks from who he made #DIABOLICAL

I thought she was Gizelle Bryant
