Jesse Watters: “When did you know you were in love [with Charlie Kirk]?” Erika Kirk: “He knew immediately, and I knew that there was something there. But I, prior to that, was praying that if it was — if he was to be my future husband — that the Lord would make it so clear that I would have such a peace about it... He was just amazing!”

Patricio Pitbull says he mistakenly believed his last fight was the final bout on his UFC contract and used that as motivation. He now believes he has two fights remaining on his deal: “I thought that was my last one because I needed that motivation. If I lost that fight, I knew it was possible they could cut me. My last fight wasn’t good. I knew all the pressure was there, but I was positive.”

“Oriade wasn’t like the 5ive album at all. I just wanted to make music and drop the album because it was my last record with Sony. But my mind changed when I started, and I decided to do it properly. The marketing wasn’t on me; that was the company’s responsibility.” — Davido

Stephon Marbury says he went from making $20,000,000 to zero before moving to China and finding peace beyond basketball “I didn’t want to play basketball. That wasn’t the most important thing to me anymore.” “I was in the darkest space.” “Basketball wasn’t going well. I went from $20 million to zero. My brand started to fail. Everything was going like that.” “Then somebody was like, ‘Yo, what about China?’” “I was like, ‘China? That’s far.’” “But then I heard there were 300 million people there that played ball, and I was like, ‘What?’” “I came here thinking I was gonna be coming here doing my bread, and I ended up coming here just to hoop and enjoy my life.” “The peace, the love thing just changed everything completely in my life.” “It wasn’t about basketball anymore. It was about my peace and how I felt within myself.”

( #est_rvp ) #GQThailandxEstxVacheronConstantin 🦈: i talked to myself until i felt like okay, this match is my last match. i was going to hang up my swimming cap and goggles and then focus on acting instead. but honestly, when it came to the entertainment industry, i never thought that i would have to take it seriously or that i would have to become famous or anything to that extent. i felt like i’d just leave that to the future and let time tell me whether i was truly suited for this path or not. cuz in the end, the entertainment industry was something completely new to me. i can honestly say that i wasn’t good at anything in this industry. i had to start from zero, whether it was acting, singing, dancing, meeting people or talking to people i didn’t know. i felt that everything was new to me and i had to start all over again from the beginning. people often ask me whether swimming or being an actor is harder. honestly, i can say that they’re difficult in different ways. with swimming, it’s something i had trained in since childhood. i trained until i became good at it but then there were people who were better than me, so the question is how i can improve myself further. but with acting, i wasn’t good at it at all. i had to start from the beginning again like when i was child. but i only just started when i was already older, so i feel like it’s very different. but that was a very big turning point in my life.

I remember it like it was yesterday, i was chilling in my flat in Auckland park when a car passed outside of my room because the road was very close to my window, when i heard that bass hitting hard on the roof of the building and I just knew that it was my song, a few seconds later Simphiwe Majola calls and says “your song is on Metro Fm right now” for the first time on radio. I could not believe it, but that’s the day I knew in the depth of my heart that the time had arrived, we were about to take over the music game. I can’t tell you why I was so sure but I was, and boy was I right. Everything that happened after that felt like a long movie I never thought I’d ever star in. I speak this with tears in my eyes, I’ve seen the favour of God is ways I will never fathom South Africa and the world at large. There’s not enough words to express how grateful I am for allowing me to live this dream. THANK YOU

I knew after the Milwaukee season that I couldn’t play basketball anymore. It was the hardest decision I never had to make—because my body made it for me. At first, I wasn’t planning to say anything. I figured people would assume as time passed. (1/6)

Austin Reaves on his interaction with the ref: "I felt like I was respectful to all of them all night. A million times in the past, I've said way worse stuff. And when we were doing the whole tip ball and they were switching spots, I wanted to get on the other side because they had a guy on the other side, was just trying to keep an advantage. And he turned around and yelled in my face. I just thought it was disrespectful. The whole time that was going on over there, I don't think he said much to them. I know Ben (Taylor) stepped in and said something. But at the end of the day, we're grown men and I just didn't feel like he needed to yell in my face like that. I told him that. I wasn't disrespectful. I told him if I did that to him first, I would've gotten a tech. I feel like the only reason I didn't get a tech was because he knew he was in the wrong. I felt disrespected"
