@JKLDNMAD @AndrewMarr9 They were told almost from day one that austerity was unnecessary. The Tories played a blinder aided and abetted by a right wing, scandal driven media. They have used fascist tactics and propaganda to convince sufficient voters that there is no alternative to their leadership.

@drdrdrh @AndrewMarr9 Marr asks if we are slipping towards a privatised NHS. That’s the wrong way to look at it. The NHS is being starved of vital resources, so that those who can afford it opt to choose private healthcare. Private healthcare expansion by stealth, and a third rate NHS for the rest.

@AndrewMarr9 Do people understand that healthcare could be better? They just seem to keep voting for politicians who will undermine it. Endless stories of A+E horror, no dentists and months waiting in pain for joint replacements - but the public just accepts it all.

@SomethingVintag @AndrewMarr9 Cost cutting in government departments like health and NHS has much more devasting consequences for the public than forcing redundancies in a section of a business. Its not just about jobs and technology. And if as Osborne, you are a pampered child of private health, must listen.
