A man period should be facing any high risk areas when he feels the need to protect in addition he should walk on the side of the street where the oncoming traffic is while walking on the side walk with a lady. A lot of women won’t know this because they were taught masculine ideologies and little feminine!

I was raised by a Black single mother, so I learned you don’t sit where you can’t see what’s coming at you whether male or female.

I don’t think that’s just a black man thing. I know lots of men who do not like having their back towards the door k.

A black man should be able to see all exists and oncoming threats at all times; it is our job to make sure the women in our life make it out, even if we don’t.

Growing up, I saw my father do this with my mother. 👍🏽

I know it. On the rare occasions when I'm unable to see the door, I feel very uncomfortable. Got to scope out all points of ingress and egress upon entering a space just in case something pops off.

I thought that was only a police thing.. We were taught in the police academy never sit with your back to the door whether male or female. My hubby was an Officer so I always knew my hubby faced the door…
