My 2nd office is in the coffee shop downtown. Rent for office use is $2.75 for a large coffee. Remarkably inexpensive. The floors and tables don’t clean themselves. The bathroom doesn’t magically clean itself. The electricity running my laptop and running my business ain’t free.

People seem to confuse a business “open to the public” with a “public business”. Restaurants are PRIVATE PROPERTY and Mgt can ask anyone to leave for ANY reason.

i dunno how i feel about this one. starbucks usually encourages people to hang out and use their wifi. if it were crowded and the table was needed for others, i'd understand, but it's empty. that said, customer is ridiculous for immediately jumping to race - and stupid for recording the interaction then posting it for a place she goes to all the time
