We spoke about the challenges facing Israel and the region - none more urgent and important than the efforts to bring all the hostages home from the hell of captivity in Gaza. I expressed my thanks to Secretary Rubio for the strong Israel-US friendship, especially as we marked five years today since the historic Abraham Accords were signed under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump. It is thanks to these brave agreements that, despite the greatest of challenges, the Middle East can continue on a path to an era of partnership and cooperation.
