Cork This evening at 7:30pm, together with our vets, we made the heartbreaking decision to put this beautiful little girl to sleep. 💔💔 She was approximately 8 years old. She had no microchip, which means there is no accountability for what happened to her.😡😡 She was found tethered behind fencing at an industrial estate. Evidence suggests that other ponies had also been tethered there but had already been removed. As soon as we received the report, we attended as quick as we could. We found her lying on the ground. When she struggled to stand, it was clear that her leg was broken above the knee and was hanging loose. She was standing in the blazing heat with no access to water.💔😡 The saddest part of this story is that another animal welfare organisation had also been alerted by concerned members of the public. Unfortunately, they did not act quickly enough, they had decided tomorrow would be best! TOMORROW 😡😡😡😡 We contacted our vets straight away, and they agreed that she could not be left to suffer for another minute, let alone another night. Our sincere thanks to them for their immediate response and compassionate care. Thank you to everyone who contacted us. It was unbearable to think that she might have had to endure another night in such agony. The pain she must have been experiencing is unimaginable.💔😡 We do our best every day, but cases like this bring immense heartbreak and anger. Please consider making a donation. 260711 mingyu welive 🐶 i'm heading back to korea tomorrow but.. ha.. you know what really sad? i can't go to the V8 concert 😞 ck. ha.. ​so when this hongkong schedule was first booked, i didn't even know the dates for the V8 concert yet. i mean as you guys already know, whenever i go abroad, i usualy like to stay an extra day or 2 if possible just to look around and explore the area. so i was like "yeah, let's just take our time coming back." but bcz of that my trip ended up overlapping right with the V8 concert. ​we tried to quickly change the flights and figure something out, but even if i change it there's no way i can make it. the earliest flight tomorrow is in the morning but even if i catch that i'd land in korea at 5pm. by the time i get to the venue it'll be past 6pm, so that's how it is. ​i'm very very devastated about it right now. ​V8 is coming to hongkong next week, right? So the guys will be here next week.. but guys, i can't travel abroad for personal trips anymore.. since my military enlistment is coming up pretty soon, i'm only allowed to travel strictly for official schedules like i can only come for work and then head straight back immediately. i can't leave the country for personal reasons at all other than that. ​ah.. looks like i'll probably end up watching the online streaming instead. i mean i've watched every single member's concert so far 😞 ​but yeah.. that's how much ​i'm devastated NOOOO IS HE GOING SOON???? 😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔

Eventually, we managed to get him to safety. The poor thing had a rope wrapped so tightly around his two large horns that it had been knotted in place. Carlow, and what we witnessed was devastating. Horses left without food or water, exhausted and some in terrible condition. One young horse, only around a year old, was covered in ringworm, had just one shoe and was desperately weak. He was being sold for €150. Thankfully, we managed to get him out before he was sold. He is now safe with us and receiving veterinary care. ❤️‍🩹 But it wasn't only the horses. We witnessed people shooting pellet guns at locals and at animals. One mare who was shot with a pellet gun went running up the street with her goal following, heart breaking , 😡😡💔💔💔💔 We also tried desperately to help two puppies, but by the time we found a Garda who was willing to help us, the puppies had disappeared.😡💔 At one point, a member of our MLHR team was also put in danger. We raised our concerns with Boris An Garda Síochána , but we were deeply disappointed that we did not feel the seriousness of the situation was being taken as seriously as it should have been.💔😡 We always work and highly respect an garda Siochana , some of our volunteers and friends are Gardaí, which is why this experience was particularly upsetting. We left Borris angry, heartbroken and exhausted, wondering how this level of suffering can be allowed to happen in Ireland. And this isn't just about Borris. These fairs happen across the country.
