Skunks are actually kinda cool

All good fun until they come out the rocks and brush and rush you in the middle of the night

What's even better, it was a family of 6. Two parents and 6 cubs. Nothing better to hear and then see in the middle of the UT desert.

Baby skunks 🦨

I have a couple friends that found an abandoned baby skunk and the brought it home and gave it to their cat who had just had kittens and she took care of it along with the kittens. That was 3 years ago and they still have the skunk but it thinks it's a cat and acts like one.

I found two once. The mother had been hit by a car. When they are that young, they try, but they can't spray yet. They are very affectionate and purr like kittens. I gave them to a local Veterinarian who removed their stink sacs and kept them as pets. 😎

There's a den or whatever they live in close cos every time I put my head out to check for lights or go grab the mail after dark it smells like the whole block is growing bud

Today i learned that skunks sound like muppets and i think it's the cutest thing ever

When the alarm goes off.

They hit sexual maturity and a switch flips from fairly domestic to spraying bite machine But they are fairly awesome prior to that.

They make great pets my gpa used to have one that had its glands removed. He said it was quite the party trick to have a bunch of new folks at a party drunk when kitty came crawling out from under the couch to hang out lol.

The way the precious little baby rolled down the tiny hill. 😅

I dont care what any biologists say, skunks are just smelly weasels and the weasel family are the most awesome of mammals. Some dodging snake strikes, some being immune to venom, some fighting off pride of lions, or wolverines taking down full grown elk.

My mom told me as a kid I was never allowed to get near a skunk because then I’d have to soak myself in a bathtub full of tomato juice.

We used to have several families of skunks visiting us every year. They are really sweet and squeaky. We enjoyed seeing the babies every year. Several neighbors moved in around us with dogs and the skunks have moved on.

My sister's dog accidentally became friends with a bunch of skunks now she wants to go out every night to play with them and they come running to see her. Also the cats in my area have formed a union with tje skunks and chill out togther all the time

They are invasive, destructive and spray my dogs annually at least.

I have a little buddy that shows up every so often..most of the time ok.. except when dark, and I'm having coffee and he shows up 6 feet away...😳

One of these 3 pound critters got into my garage and me and 2 - 80pound dogs plastered ourselves to the wall in fear

I was playing Pokemon Go on my way to work before sunup and I almost ran into someone on the crosswalk as we walked by each-other and I apologized. Then I looked back after a few more paces to see that I had just apologized to a skunk who was looking back at me like, “What a polite human.”

Notice the stamping behavior? The baby is trying to tell you he is a big, bad male skunk.😂 Hint: If you’re ever confronted by an adult skunk, mimic this stamping behavior. The skunk will assume you are an even bigger skunk and back off without spraying.

My dog always really loved skunks and wanted to play with them and that wasn't helped by the fact skunk angry tippy tappies look like a play crouch to dogs.

Many years ago, I was visiting my dad's mother in rural North Carolina, where he grew up. I saw her on the porch literally using a broom to push a surfeit of them around on her porch. She had been feeding them and they were swarming around her feet like a bunch of cats.

I had a ferret. Anytime you move the couch you're liable to find a set of keys, a piece of pizza and a chicken wing.

"I got you some blue berries" throws it at him xD

They are legal in PA to have a pets. One day I want to get one lol.
