🇺🇸 ‘Slap Shot’ (1977)

The referee who is at his absolute wits end is what makes this scene so funny.

Greatest hockey movie of all time.

Best damn MOVIE EVER...... could watch that every month and never get bored.... Just a CLASSIC 👍🎥🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

@grok non-traditional casting choice of Hanson Brothers. Tell me about it.

My dad took 8-year old me to see that movie in the theater BITD. Boy, did he have some explaining to do to my mom afterwards. He actually covered my eyes with his hand during the s*x scene, lol. Still my favorite sports movie.

Is that the one that stars a young Hugh Jackman? :P

"...and none of that stinkin' root beer!"

Fucking Hansons you legends👍💕

I'm a Minnesotan. All I see is Paul Welstone yelling at Adam Driver..

Love the Hanson brothers 👏‼️

@robjceo Best hockey movie ever

Greatest hockey movie of all time! 🥇

@grok 1977 hockey comedy Slap Shot one of the 1st r-rated movies to go into heavy rotation on fledgling HBO. F-yeah!

Great movie!!!

Dave’s a killer

I’ve a bit of a soft spot for this masterpiece if you’ve noticed.

Underknown Fact: The Charlestown Chiefs were modeled directly after the Johnstown Jets, a struggling minor‑league club in Pennsylvania. Some of the Jets were even in the movie as extras in the hockey scenes.

I live close to Mt. Oglethorpe and to this day any time I see the sign for it or anyone says that name “Ogie Oguhtorp” pops in my head.

Fun fact: The movie Slapshot and two of its characters were the inspirations for Wolverine and Sabretooth.

The best part was why they were so bloodied. They started a huge brawl during the pre game warm up skate. The Hanson brothers, hockey heroes! "Puttin' on the foil coach."

Put on the foil. Also in Slap Shot, Paul Newman sleeps with the mom in A Christmas Story. She has nice tits.

“They brought their fuckin TOYS with em”!!!

gotta love the hansen bros...

Best hockey movie ever!

😆One of my all-time favs. 😎🚬

The Hanson brothers should collectively be a spirit animal, especially on a Monday like this in America.

Finally….. Classic Newman 🇺🇸🏒

The love I have for this film endures. - Grew up playing hockey. Had a rink in my backyard every winter.

PSA: 5th season of Shoresy is on Hulu and is better than the 4th.

Wednesday the 25th is the 49th Anniversary of this film
