I recently set out on a mission to challenge people who painted me as racist. I have a need to be understood, but in a race to change my perception… I lost perspective. It won’t happen again. I’ve let people misrepresent, misinform, & blatantly lie on me for years. I’ve ignored being called “race baiter”, because I know that game plan, but “racist” makes my skin crawl. I tried to force people that critiqued me to move as I do. I thought those who majored in using my name for clout would welcome an open conversation. That’s not how life works. I’ll address some things & people, I’ll tell the truth, & then I’ll move on. I want to see everybody win. I want to win, but not at the cost of peace. Which I’ll protect moving forward.
