With the recent push to use hybrid compute and local files, I believe a good addition would be a remote option, like codex does, where I can start chats in local projects and folders of my computer from my phone.

That looks great, Perplexity’s team has already solved the “how do I present five models and five reasoning depths without overwhelming a user” problem, and the slider in your screen share nails it. Based on my exp thus what’s unsolved is the harder problem underneath: guaranteeing that switching effort levels within the same context reliably buys you better-grounded, more consistent answers rather than just a stylistic shift. Perplexity Design team is actually doing a phenomenal job

At this point might as well just abandon perplexity and comet cause you've stopped caring about your core product that people enjoy the most

It's beautiful, but the product and the respect for customers is terrible. Perplexity drowned in greed itself.
