Wales is to get seven new train stations as part of a major new government funding pledge which it says will transform the Welsh rail network. While visiting Wales, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the £14bn commitment represented "investment for the long term" and would create thousands of jobs. Work on five of the stations will start later this year, while other stations like Cardiff Central will also be upgraded.

Sooo..what happens to the Ripple v. SEC (and Coinbase case, etc.) next year? Well, I wasn't sure about the nuts/bolts of it all so I listened to a great Space by John Reed Stark today and the most LIKELY scenario is: 1. Gensler steps down before Jan.20 2. The new head (or interim head) sends out marching orders that all non-fraud crypto cases need to be disposed of. 3. The litigation team looks at each case and recommends to either settle or dismiss each, and brings their reccomendations to the Commisioners who then vote yay or nay (there will now be 3 Rep appointed, so it will "yay"). -My thoughts on specific actions: 4. The Ripple case, or any case with a ruling, will be "settled" for the judgment amount - $125m. It would be...awkward to settle for less than what was already awarded by a Court! 5. The Coinbase and other cases in litigation will simply be dismissed. 6. This will take some time. Not January, but perhaps before summer. That's my call and I'm sticking to it!

Bloc Quebecois' Yves-François Blanchet is "fiercely opposed" against *any kind* of transport of hydrocarbons from Western Canada. He says it doesn't serve Quebec and doesn't think there is a future in western Canada's hydrocarbons. Quebec has gotten hundreds of billions of dollars in equalization thanks to these hydrocarbons and will get $13B this year again. Quebec will be a 3rd world country without it. Time to let the parasite separate. If he thinks his green projects make Quebec rich then it would be better off without Canada and we will cut out losses. We can't build a prosperous country with people like this holding projects and then politicians needed to pander to them for votes.
