Another video from Archie Jenkins III showing the immense amount of fire from the former 4 story brick and wood structure most noted to be Tent City at 280 Lyell Avenue (corner of Dewey), was being rehabbed for housing. The FFs from all over worked all night and demolition began this morning. They had just finished a technical rescue, and simultaneously worked another house fire. The radiant heat from this caused exposures hundreds of yards away to ignite. FFs had small issues with water supply and used at least 2 plugs from the Holley System. Currently roaming the southeastern corner of the Wild Horse Refuge, this magnificent band of fifteen is a sight to behold. Pinyon himself is a striking red and white paint who maintains a unique leadership style. The group is primarily composed of Sand Wash Basin horses, featuring a colorful array of bays, greys, sorrels, and grullas. Among the named members are Butte, Cinnamon, Kiki, Tierra, Wildflower, and Zia, who travel alongside a couple of unnamed mares. This band is defined by its incredible stamina and spirit. They cover vast distances every day and have been known to gallop over three miles just for the pure joy of the run. They are truly a beautiful representation of the wild spirit of the refuge. I shot this video. Ben Hansen wanted it… so I let him have a copy. Shot at the Air Show in Harrison Township Michigan on Selfridge ANG. Base The location is on the water and about 9 miles north of the 8 mile rd. Border to Detroit. This is another strange wrapped thing full of SPHERES….. It just popped up in the middle of the airfield in front of thousands of witnesses. No balloons allowed… No kite allowed…. No drones allowed….. This is a controlled air space. It popped up out of thin air and was as big as a mini van. It morphed, and bent as it flew around under some kind of control . Then….. It shoots up rapidly… another SPHERE is waiting for it…. We took a trip down the memory lane and went back to where it all began - Urban Company's first 110 sq ft office in Bhikaji Cama Place in New Delhi. The bench that survived 11 years. The corner where Abhiraj Singh Bhal used to sit. Space so small that when investors visited, the two interns had to step out. Walking through that room, Mridul Arora and Abhiraj reflected on Urban Company’s humble beginnings and the incredible journey from that tiny space to serving 7 million households and empowering 50,000+ service professionals. Even as Urban Company hits the public markets, even after building the category-defining company for home services globally, the Day Zero mindset remains. The same hunger. The same conviction. The same belief that they're just getting started. As Abhiraj Singh Bhal put it: "We have to always remember that this is where it all started. And in many ways, I think today is also Day Zero." A delivery guy was arrested by police for trafficking cocaine without knowing it. It was just another day at work. He received a call from a Nigerian lady at Dagoretti Corner. She wanted him to deliver food in a hotpot. The lady instructed him to take it to Kileleshwa estate in Nairobi. The guy did as instructed. When he arrived, he called the Nigerian man. While waiting, detectives suddenly appeared, opened the delivery bag, and to his shock, found cocaine wrapped in a small polythene pouch hidden inside the food. He was immediately arrested. As the officers were taking him away, he pleaded with them, insisting he was just an innocent delivery guy. He offered to help them catch the person who was supposed to receive the package. The police agreed. Some officers moved ahead while others stayed behind, watching him from a safe distance. He called the Nigerian man again. When the man came down from the apartment and was in the middle of paying him, he was arrested in a swift swoop. The delivery guy was released since he was innocent and had cooperated with the police.

Living in Peril: VTP Celesta Residents In Pune's Mohammadwadi Highlight Builder's Neglect and PMC's Lapses Reported by Sumit Singh & Tikam Shekhawat The residents of Celesta Cooperative Housing Society Ltd (VTP Celesta) in Mohammadwadi, Pune, are grappling with a slew of issues attributed to the negligence of #Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and inadequate infrastructure provided by @VTP_Realty , the builder. Located opposite Royal Heritage Mall on NIBM Road, #VTPCelesta is a single 13-floor building housing 78 flats, each costing over Rs 1.2 crore, and seven shops. However, the residents have been facing persistent problems since moving in. The residents were to get possession of flats in 2020 but it got delayed due to COVID and they got it in 2022. There are about 300 residents currently living in the society. Punekar News team as part of the #WakeUpPMC series visited VTP Celesta society and interacted with chairman Rizwan Khan, secretary Farida Rassiwala, residents and committee members Suruchi Dogra, Shweta Mali, Sanjay Dogra, Shabbir and Vijayan Nair. Speaking to Punekar News, Rizwan Khan, Chairman of Celesta CHS, said, "The possession of the flats was delayed by more than two years, yet the builder has not compensated the residents for the delay. Residents were moved in despite several promised amenities being incomplete. Key facilities like the swimming pool were only completed a year after residents took possession. Essential infrastructure such as solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, and wet waste disposal systems were installed just before the handover, 1.5 years late." He further informed, "Despite the lack of amenities, the builder has been charging residents maintenance fees from the day they received the occupancy certificate (OC). Residents allege that VTP Realty used water, electricity, and other resources for construction activities but charged these costs to the residents. The builder also demanded a year's advance maintenance charges and imposed exorbitant fees, while blocking the society's corpus fund. Additionally, the builder did not adhere to the original construction plan, making modifications without the residents' consent, which residents claim is a violation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (#RERA). When we filed an #RTI application with PMC seeking details of the building construction, we were given in writing that the files are missing." Flats were sold with the promise that these PMC water tanks (located adjacent to the society) would ensure we would be the first to get #water and there would be no scarcity. However, we are still waiting to receive water from them and have to pay about Rs two lakh per month on water tankers, the residents said. Another resident added, "VTP Realty failed to provision municipal water and sewage treatment plant (STP) facilities for shops, as per PMC regulations. Despite promising to provide water according to PMC's standard of 150 liters per person per day, residents are charged for all water usage, including that used in construction, leading to high costs." The builder promised proper wet waste disposal pits but instead provided a machine that did not meet PMC's regulations. The exit ramp design was altered after all units were sold, creating what residents describe as a life-threatening hazard. They are now forced to use a single-entry exit gate, posing a significant safety risk. "The slopes are steep and very dangerous", the residents said. In the absence of a proper water drainage system, society residents face extreme difficulties commuting during the rainy season. Living in Peril: VTP Celesta Residents In Pune's Mohammadwadi Highlight Builder's Neglect and PMC's Lapses Reported by Sumit Singh & Tikam Shekhawat The residents of Celesta Cooperative Housing Society Ltd (VTP Celesta) in Mohammadwadi, Pune, are grappling with a slew of issues attributed to the negligence of #Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and inadequate infrastructure provided by @VTP_Realty , the builder. Located opposite Royal Heritage Mall on NIBM Road, #VTPCelesta is a single 13-floor building housing 78 flats, each costing over Rs 1.2 crore, and seven shops. However, the residents have been facing persistent problems since moving in. The residents were to get possession of flats in 2020 but it got delayed due to COVID and they got it in 2022. There are about 300 residents currently living in the society. Punekar News team as part of the #WakeUpPMC series visited VTP Celesta society and interacted with chairman Rizwan Khan, secretary Farida Rassiwala, residents and committee members Suruchi Dogra, Shweta Mali, Sanjay Dogra, Shabbir and Vijayan Nair. Speaking to Punekar News, Rizwan Khan, Chairman of Celesta CHS, said, "The possession of the flats was delayed by more than two years, yet the builder has not compensated the residents for the delay. Residents were moved in despite several promised amenities being incomplete. Key facilities like the swimming pool were only completed a year after residents took possession. Essential infrastructure such as solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, and wet waste disposal systems were installed just before the handover, 1.5 years late." He further informed, "Despite the lack of amenities, the builder has been charging residents maintenance fees from the day they received the occupancy certificate (OC). Residents allege that VTP Realty used water, electricity, and other resources for construction activities but charged these costs to the residents. The builder also demanded a year's advance maintenance charges and imposed exorbitant fees, while blocking the society's corpus fund. Additionally, the builder did not adhere to the original construction plan, making modifications without the residents' consent, which residents claim is a violation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (#RERA). When we filed an #RTI application with PMC seeking details of the building construction, we were given in writing that the files are missing." Flats were sold with the promise that these PMC water tanks (located adjacent to the society) would ensure we would be the first to get #water and there would be no scarcity. However, we are still waiting to receive water from them and have to pay about Rs two lakh per month on water tankers, the residents said. Another resident added, "VTP Realty failed to provision municipal water and sewage treatment plant (STP) facilities for shops, as per PMC regulations. Despite promising to provide water according to PMC's standard of 150 liters per person per day, residents are charged for all water usage, including that used in construction, leading to high costs." The builder promised proper wet waste disposal pits but instead provided a machine that did not meet PMC's regulations. The exit ramp design was altered after all units were sold, creating what residents describe as a life-threatening hazard. They are now forced to use a single-entry exit gate, posing a significant safety risk. "The slopes are steep and very dangerous", the residents said. OF Jaden Gustafson (Wichita State Baseball) is an under the radar name to keep tabs on this spring. Hit .296/.367/.403 last spring with 15 XBH and followed with an outstanding summer in the Jayhawk League in which he posted a .391/.439/.626 slash line with 11 2B, 2 3B, 4 HR, 32 RBIs and 12 BB to just 2 Ks across 115 at-bats. Athletic frame at 6'3" and 215-lbs with particular strength in his lower-half. Stands upright in the box with a high handset and slightly open front side. Will drop/drift his hands a bit in his load, but Gustafson has plenty of hand speed. Small-strider. Compact operation in which he takes a relatively direct path to contact. Has shown the ability to adjust. Gustafson has double-plus bat-to-ball skills, and last season he posted an 87% overall contact rate and a 93% overall IZ contact rate (94% against FB). He also possesses advanced pitch recognition skills and swing decisions, and last year his overall chase rate was 24%. Very few swings outside of the shadow zone. Gustafson uses the entire field, but has a particular knack for going the opposite way. Barrel skills are also advanced. The most intriguing part about Gustafson in my eyes is his potential power upside. That might sound a little strange considering he has 0 collegiate HRs, but he's a strong kid with some present impact (90th EV of 103, Max of 104.3) and whose AirPull% last spring was a minuscule 7.7%. The bat and hand speed is there, and I'll be curious to see what will happen if he can get the ball up in the air more. Even if he can just start pulling the ball more. Gustafson is a great athlete who profiles best in a corner OF spot. Can go and get it, and he's got North-to-South range as well gap-to-gap range. Arm is fringy, but the athleticism certainly plays.
