Pappas: What I’m hearing from small businesses is that things are getting more expensive. Eighty-eight percent of small businesses import products—either to sell directly to customers or to use in making something else that they deliver to customers right here in America. So that’s driving up costs. It’s a huge tax—not only on our small businesses, but on the American public. And I’ve heard that very directly from our small business community. In addition, businesses that export to places like Canada or China are also being hit hard. I had an extensive conversation with businesses in our forest products industry, which is important here in New Hampshire. We’re the second most forested state in the country, and they have a huge market in China—which is now being hit with a 150% reciprocal tariff. That market is going to disappear. People are going to lose their jobs—whether in logging, sawmills, or lumber yards. There’s tremendous pressure, and they just won’t be able to navigate it.

After watching this story, I honestly can’t look at Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma the same way again… Sometimes what we see as anger, bitterness, or even xenophobia is rooted in deep personal experiences, trauma, and unresolved pain. Who knows maybe Ngizwe Mcunu has some connection with Mozambique or Nigeria... If you're into #OSINT or #geolocation, something new is coming... I've long predicted the convergence of data science and OSINT. While I couldn't have seen the emergence of generative AI, I knew that audio analysis at scale was happening; I knew that video analysis at scale was coming. I wish I'd seen how this would impact geolocation. What I didn't see then I see now. And I've been working with GOΠZO to expand GVision into a full geolocation suite and while we have a long way to go, we've made substantial progress.
