I just called my Mom from my smart glasses. Introducing video calls on Mentra Live smart glasses. Join Google Meet, Teams, or Zoom call directly from your glasses. Imagine field workers like HVAC techs, electricians, or mechanics calling into an expert remotely. It's all about wearability. Classical enterprise smart glasses are heavy, uncomfortable, and never make it past pilot pergatory. Mentra Live are super lightweight and shaped like regular glasses. Workers can wear them all day, and the battery lasts for a full shift. Also, since MentraOS is open-source, you can build your own apps, deploy on-prem, and stay fully compliant. $META delaying the launch of Ray-Ban Display smart glasses in Europe due to higher-than-expected demand in the US is great news. The numbers are still irrelevant, but Zuck’s vision — where the ~2 billion people who already wear glasses every day eventually switch to smart glasses — is slowly starting to gain traction. A world where smart glasses become the default device for many isn’t that far away. And for now, META is years ahead of its closest competitor. All $META needs to do is successfully integrate these smart glasses with a frontier AI model.

Humane AI Pin and Rabbit R1 failed, but why? I tried 17 AI Wearables from glasses to pins to pendants, here's the problem I found:- > Form Factor - It is lot of effort for brain and body to learn to add new form factors(glasses, pins on chest) in lifestyle > Missing integration to ecosystem, thus not solving a pain point > Smart glasses put strain on eyes and we humans are not designed to put screen on eyeballs 6-8 hours/day. Since I have moved to SF (so called tech bubble), haven't met a single person who uses smart glasses or wearable everyday especially in homespace and workspace. What are your thoughts?

These are the Rokid Glasses A pair of smart glasses very similar to the Meta RayBan but powered by the AR1, with the addition of a Monochrome binocular Waveguide display for Live translation, Ai recognition, teleprompter, navigation and more. Plus like the RayBan camera and audio. The live translation was surprisingly good, and fast. They are already available in China. Hopefully we will get them in the US soon! They are just 49 grams! It's crazy to see how the smart glasses are evolving fast. #CES2025 #rokid The last video is from their Air Max 2 6DoF version, for AR at the museum!
