Yeah, I also think there's a lot of top players that are really good at commentating. something I liked abt summit was player commentary since it made me realize some guys i.e. MuteAce are actually really good at it, like I'd love to see him commentate more (up to him but ykwim)

I think the novelty of top player casting often makes people give extra points just for the effort--viewers wanna encourage it which is nice but if some players were on regularly I think people would get sour like they always do That said I agree MuteAce is excellent by any metric, he's crazy well-spoken and has a unique perspective of the game that makes it feel fresh

I think it would just be a bit hard to find competitors who place well to also want to commentate, since they're probably more focused on the grind, no? That, or some might just be not fit for commentary in general.

honestly thats very fair. i do think some of the personalities we got casting games are entertaining and engaging, but a more technical and objective counterview is heavily needed. honestly thats why i think commentary at stuff like summit(rip) was so good, they had that balance.
