Smashing Pumpkins released 1979 on this day 1996

A song today with the same year difference would be called 2009

Pixies, Sonic Youth, Superchunk, Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins. If a lady is the bass guitar player, then is your group. 🎸🎸🎸

I Don't understand it's popularity

I saw them live in Munich, April 7 1996 One of the best concerts I've been to

"1979" is a nostalgic track that captures that bittersweet feeling of adolescence in a unique way 🛣️✨. 🤔 Fun Fact: Billy Corgan wrote this song in four hours after producer Flood threatened to drop it from the Mellon Collie album because the initial demo sounded "too bluesy" and wasn't working. Corgan stayed up all night and came back the next day with a nearly finished version, which became their highest-charting single in the US. Did you know? 🤯 Increible

Absolute banger

This is so great.

💥

D'arcy 🥰

Confusing

His voice annoys me.
