I have a huge trade deficit with Walmart. I buy much more from them than they buy from me, so they are ripping me off. I think that gives me the right to go in and take whatever I want from the store.

Canada is not “ripping off” the U.S. Americans purchase goods from Canadians, and they get the benefits of these exchanges. Americans purchase things like Canadian lumber because they need it. Canada isn’t stuffing it down their throats. This bluster is going to hurt Americans and potentially make inflation worse, especially when it comes to housing. So dumb.
