Apple has iMessage, which is significantly more advanced than RCS. If you want to not use SMS, get an iPhone. 👍

Some rich friends had Ferraris and they used Ferraris when visiting each other’s houses. They also had some friends living in suburbs, and used motor bikes when visiting the suburbs friends due to narrow roads. Suburbs friends are now complaining why rich friends are using motor bikes when visiting their houses and using Ferraris when visiting among rich friends.

And yet @Google refuses to put #RCS into #AOSP - in fact, deleting the Messaging and Phone apps completely. Google wants Apple to pick up RCS, but its own FOSS operating system can't send a message with RCS. Please stop asking Apple to pick up RCS, until AOSP has it too. Sad.

I hear ya .. but prefer standard messaging apps that use whatever route is available (wifi or data) like Telegram .. no need to go thru the carrier
