During the stop, the driver allowed several passengers to bail out before speeding away as troopers approached the vehicle. A high-speed pursuit ensued as additional occupants, including the driver, bailed out and attempted to flee on foot. Troopers immediately gave chase in an effort to apprehend those involved. The driver, Shyloh Rodriguez, of Crystal City, Texas, was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons and evading arrest.
