Smurfing is RUINING VALORANT #VALORANT

@VALORANT Make it so people need to verify through a phone number and SMS to play ranked like they do with premier, a phone number can only be used for one account. Ofc it wouldn't completely get rid of smurfing but it would for sure help a lot.

Agreed, they need to add a separate “flex queue” like they have in LoL where people can play a separate version of ranked with friends where there’s no rank difference and 3/4/5 stack restrictions. Then keep the Solo/Duo normal ranked mode for the people who want the more serious ranked feel. It won’t fix smurfing at all but it would help a little bit.

@VALORANT True words. We recently won a game against a full farming bot team. They weren't afk tho. They ran around with pistol in their hands but it felt like they weren't controlled by humans. We reported the whole team as we all know what happens when the bots reach their target level

i feel like the issue isnt so much “smurf detection isnt working” vs the accessibility in getting these low MMR accounts from bots. From most players ik who traditionally leveled an alt, it gets you out of low MMR fast. Def agree smurf content is garbage and needs to stop tho :/

its hard to find a middle ground with smurf detection bc if they rank up TOO FAST, it will be a positive for boosters/sellers. i think the bot farms need to be dismantled & they need to require 2FA for comp
