Something strange happened in the mid-noughties... I made three different music videos for Suddenly I See ⚡️ 20 years ago today I first released this song, so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to tell a story... The story starts in the summer of 2005, when our protagonist (moi!) has just agreed that ‘Suddenly I See’ would be the 3rd single from Eye To The Telescope. We set to work on the music video: a performance battle between light KT and dark KT! This version was perhaps the closest to how people were discovering me - through my live television performances and gigs. We shot this version where I am battling another version of myself, with a cool result. This was the video fans in the UK got, and the song wove some magic out on the radio waves. NEXT…my US label decided we needed to make a new video, especially for the US fans. This was a super-cool opportunity which I jumped at, as it meant creatively a whole new take on the song, and I got to work with a Director whose work I loved, Patrick Daughters. I particularly loved his ‘Gold Lion’ video for Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs ✨ We flew to Bucharest, Hungary, to shoot this video, which is circus-themed. This video is definitely one of the most-out there ones I ever shot…parachuting dogs, me as a show girl, me on a trapeze?! I absolutely loved making this video, and also really loved the result, so imagine my surprise when the label told me they didn't want to release it! They felt the old crumbling apartment building shots were just too bleak. It was around the time when the song was used in the movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and had taken on a shiny new meaning. So…we made a THIRD video, which replaced the circus video in the USA. This new, animated version sees me as a 50 foot woman journeying through an animated pop-up world. It's really colourful and reflects that new life the song was taking on. It was a very fun video to make. If you had to ask me to pick my favourite...I’d have to go with parachuting Jack Russells, Top Hat and moustache!!

This weekend sees the last ever episode of Football Focus broadcast on the BBC. One of my colleagues sent me this earlier this week. A montage of some of the stuff we did on the show and it brought back so many lovely memories ❤️ I can tell you exact spot where I was standing on the old runway at Turnberry golf club when I got the call to see if I wanted to become the presenter of Football Focus. I was covering The Open in 2009 and it was one of the best conversations I have ever had. For a kid who had grown up watching the show every week with my dad it was an amazing privilege to know that I would be hosting a programme which had always been such a big part of my weekend. I called my dad immediately and he was just as pleased as I was. When the news was announced I had a phone call from the one and only Bob Wilson. He was so warm and encouraging, as he always is, and said “Dan, you are gonna love this job. There is nothing like it… make sure you take care of it”. I hope I did. As a former custodian of the couch, Bob knew how special it was and I felt the same way when I handed over the reins to the brilliant Alex Scott when I left Focus after 12 seasons. People still talk to me about the show all the time. Focus is stitched into my life and I know there are still so many fans who really care about it which is why it’s such a crazy decision to get rid of it. Move it to Saturday morning, tinker with the format but, in a world where there is such a premium on reliable and trusted brands, why would you throw away over 50 years of hard work and history? It carries weight. I remember interviewing Pele years ago and I told him I was from Football Focus and he said “I know all about Football Focus” with a big smile. When we were filming a show about the history of Barcelona at the Nou Camp we were about to sit down to talk to Eusebio and Johan Cryuff (I had to pinch myself about that one) and Sir Bobby Charlton walked over and said to them, “You can tell this is important gentlemen… the team from Football Focus are here”. When I called Noel Gallagher to talk about an idea we had to get him to interview Mario Ballotelli at Manchester City he rearranged his world tour to be there. Obviously Balotelli was a draw but Noel said “I’d do anything for Football Focus”. When I interviewed Jurgen Klopp in the tearoom at Exeter City before an FA cup tie the lovely ladies serving brews were wedged into the corner while we spoke. I introduced them to Mr Klopp afterwards and he apologised for stealing their space; “Don’t worry about that” they said. “We’ve just been on Football Focus! Wait until we tell the family about this!”. I know the game has changed and the way we consume it has changed but there is still an audience there if you find the right place for it, promote it, ‘take care of it’ and give fans the chance to be part of the conversation on an informed, thoughtful and entertaining show about the sport we all love. I am gutted it’s going but also so thankful for all the amazing people I got to work with over the years. They remain life-long friends and I still can’t quite believe I got to sit alongside the people I grew up watching play the game at the highest level. I remember when Alan Shearer called me “Dan” on one of the first shows I worked on. The little kid inside me thought “Alan Shearer knows my name!”. It was a pleasure to work with so many brilliant pundits and it was great to watch Alex develop on Focus and then go on to host the programme so well. I was asked this week to pick a favourite moment from my 12 years on the show. It’s a very hard question because I have a huge catalogue of wonderful memories. I always look back on our on-the-road shows because we were taking Focus out to the fans; their club was the canvas and we got to paint a beautiful picture together each week about what the place meant to the community, the history, the culture and all the things that were part of that.

ALAN YENTOB’S CRACKED ACTOR FILM IS FIFTY TODAY “I’m just the space cadet...he’s the commander…” * Around this time on the evening of Sunday 26th January 1975, Bowie fans were recovering from the 10:15pm broadcast of Alan Yentob's fifty-minute BBC 1 Cracked Actor documentary, which was part of the Omnibus series. Fifty years later it's almost impossible to calculate just how important that screening was to Bowie-starved fans in the UK. In America, not only did followers of the man and his music have the Diamond Dogs/Philly Dogs tours, but they also enjoyed TV broadcasts of The 1980 Floor Show, Ziggy Stardust The Motion Picture and The Dick Cavett Show. After Bowie’s 70s TOTPs appearances and his first proper television interview on Russell Harty Plus in January 1973, there had been little to sate the appetite of the hungry Bowie fan on UK television. So Cracked Actor came as a very welcome oasis in an otherwise dry spell of Bowie TV. Filmed in California and Philadelphia during the legendary Diamond Dogs Tour of 1974, it captured Bowie at a transitional stage in his life, then again, weren’t they all? The BBC had unique access to the man on and off stage, in the recording studio and while travelling. This gave fans a rare glimpse of the private Bowie and it made for compelling viewing. As with the aforementioned UK TV appearances, Cracked Actor had a profound effect on fans. It was their first real glimpse of the incredible live presentations that never reached the UK and despite the all-access nature of the documentary, it only added to the Bowie mystique. Cracked Actor impressed some fans enough to write a book about it. Check out The Fly In The Milk by Susan Compo and Mark Wardel. You’ll recognise the title as a reference to one of the lines from the back of the limo in the film. Like much of the dialogue from The Man Who Fell To Earth the following year (coincidentally it was Cracked Actor that inspired Nicolas Roeg to approach Bowie for the film), many fans would learn parrot-fashion the majority of the one-liners that Bowie uttered throughout: “Bleedin’ wax museum in the middle of the desert...you'd think it would melt” and “I never wanted to be a rock ‘n’ roll star. Honest guv, I wasn‘t even there. But I was, you see, I was there.” And thank goodness he was there! In the unlikely event you’ve not seen this remarkable film yet, it’s easy to find online. Also, From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free has managed to edit together a full-length version of Cracked Actor from it for your enjoyment. Watch it here: David Bowie | Cracked Actor | Live at the Universal Amphitheatre | 5 September 1974 * Timeless quotation by Hannah Breschard from the film. #BowieCrackedActor #BowieCrackedActorLive1974 #NachoBowie

Steven Spielberg explains why he likes 'Duel' (1971) more than 'Jaws' (1975) & why making the former was an even bigger challenge: "Interviewer: Is a film like 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' (1977) completely pre-planned? Spielberg: In that respect 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' (1977) was exactly like 'Jaws' (1975). Every set-piece was sketched, I had hundreds of little drawings, I pre-cut the entire film and then shot it to cut later. There are moments with the people when they improvise and go beyond the script. Essentially I’m not a writer and I don’t enjoy writing. I’d much rather collaborate. I need fresh ideas coming to me, because I can’t send ideas out into space and expect them to return, I need them to bounce off something. So I locked myself away to write 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' (1977), and when I came out I had a pretty good structure but I wasn’t crazy about some of the characters. The actors helped me shake out the fat and get right down to what the scene was about – essentially the same thing I did on 'Jaws'. We would find the theme of each scene, we would do improvisations about that theme (I had a tape-recorder running), then I’d quickly run to the typewriter, find the best lines, and rewrite the scene so that the next morning the actors had a written script based on some loose improvisations the night before. Interviewer: Does that method create any problems with the producers of such expensive films? Spielberg: For some strange reason I got away with murder on 'Jaws'. They just left me alone. I changed the script every day, but I never received a telephone call from any of the powerful executives on the West Coast. I don’t think anybody was ever in love with any of the screenplays, and felt that the story and script could only be improved. I chose to make a movie that would reach audiences really on two levels. The first level was a blow to the solar plexus, and the second was an uppercut, just under the nose; it was really a one-two you’re out combination. I never intended anything deeper than that, because when I read the book I had a lot of fun, and when I began reworking the screenplay I had even more fun. And I really said, I’m going to make a primal scream movie. One of the most interesting analyses of the movie was ‘The Last Bastion of the Ecological Sergeant-at-Arms’. You’ve got man controlling the environment inland, building artificial lakes by blocking off natural dams, and suddenly you’ve got this sentry out in the ocean saying, stop, Mr. Cousteau, go no further. It’s our turn to fight you. When I first got involved in the project, the thing that terrified me most was the idea that there’s something else out there, that has a digestive system with intake; and the whole idea of being on somebody else’s menu was just utterly horrifying. It was a horrifying thought to be part of a food chain. 'Jaws' is a raw nerve movie, it’s just baring your nerves and saying this is about the birth sac, you swim around in yourself. That’s why I like parts of 'Duel' (1971) much better than I like parts of 'Jaws' (1975), because 'Duel' was more daring. It was about a very unnatural occurrence, whereas 'Jaws' is as natural as the evolution of mankind. 'Duel' was much more of a challenge, because trying to create that kind of fear out of a truck is a lot harder than the established fear of a man-eating fish underwater. But 'Duel' had a whole new set of rules." (Steven Spielberg's interview to Sight & Sound, 1977)

📣 After party interview was very nice 🫶🏻: A: Hello R: Hello, how are you? A: I'm doing well. How are you? R: We're fine too. Thank you. It was a beautiful birthday night. Your friends didn't leave you alone. Likewise, your mother is with you. How did it go? What did you wish for? A: It was very beautiful. As I said, I wished for health first of all, then the rest will be taken care of. We celebrated with a small group. Ahh (she saw the cake slice the reporter brought for her) R: Good evening, happy birthday A: Thank you. Thank you very much R: Can you take the microphone, uncle? A: Uncle? Is he an uncle? 😁 A: Is he your uncle? R: Yes I am his nephew R: will you make a wish? (For the cake 🍰 ) A: ok, let’s make a wish. Thank you, thanks a lot, you are very kind. Really thank you. R: May you have a happy birthday! A: Thank you R: What did you wish for? A: Well, this year has been a great one for me. We did a great job for Disney Plus. I really enjoyed it. It was something I really did from my heart. I hope it finds its reward in the new year too. Apart from that, as I said health, peace, and happiness. We also have a new work for the new season of ATV… R: …the ABI series is coming. A: Exactly. R: It’s been talked about a lot as always. So is there going to be a movie 🍿 ? A: we don't have such a plan right now. But why not , of course. R: I get a lot of questions about the movie. They (fans) specifically asked whether she would do it or not. Your fans, we haven’t seen such audience (in a good way) when we look at them. A: I am thankful to them, they are very special (😊😍) R: You are world-class, you’ve left all your fellow artists and actors behind. How doesn’t it feel like? A: Thank you, of course it’s a great feeling to be rewarded for the work I do. I am glad they (fans) exist, and I am glad they are with me. I always feel their support. I'm glad they exist. R: So, what gift did your mom give you? Let’s learn that. A: She bought a beautiful sweater. R: : Vallahi A: It has a ribbon in the back like that. Very nice. R: You are also well prepared (well dressed) for the night. A: Thanks a lot. Thank you! R: The fans had a question. Let’s ask that. Well, did you wish for a relationship or something like that. A: Well, I am focused on my career now, there's nothing else I can say (there is nothing more to say). I mean, I don’t know what to wish for. If something is going to happen, it will happen. let’s see. I don’t know , I'm focused on my career right now. I am at work; I am in my strength. R: Yes. You are in a very good place in your job and career. A: thanks a lot R: How do you find your other actors/friends (in the industry)? For example, are there any TV series that you watch or follow? A: I am following the series we are watching. I watch #TaşacakBuDeniz , it’s going very well. I like them (actors) all very much. That is it. R: #YalıCapkını ‘s voice has been heard worldwide, but is there any longing? Isn't that possible? A: Of course, we always miss such successful works. Any time. Thank you very much. R: Have many wonderful year ahead of you A: Thanks a lot #AfraSaraçoğlu We are incredibly proud of her! She also met some fans and greeted them in Russian, taking photos with them as well.

Appreciation post, plus CDE Chinoz’s video msg😅🙏🏿❤️✨ What a wild ride my 50th birthday turned out to be! 🎢🎉 My family and friends threw a spectacular surprise joint birthday bash for Gwen, my "twin" cousin-aunt, and me. Now, let me give you the inside scoop on this epic event. 😎 Picture this: two cousins, born just hours apart, celebrating half a century of life together! And it all started with our mothers going into labour at the same time and in the same house at my grandmother’s place; birthing us in the same hospital 50 years ago. 🏥👶🎉 Talk about a bond that can't be broken! You can imagine my surprise when I walked into the party venue on Saturday to find over 120 faces staring back at me! We laughed, we cried, we prayed, and oh boy, did we dance! 💃 But wait, there's more! I received special video messages from around the globe.🙏🏿👏🏿🌍❤️ Thank you to all my incredible family and friends who put their hearts and souls into making this celebration unforgettable. I couldn't possibly name you all, but know that you're deeply loved and appreciated. ❤️ And now for the grand finale: a surprise message from none other than Cde "Chinoz" Chinotimba! 😂😅 Yes, you heard that right. He sent a message both congratulating and scolding me (classic Chinoz, am I right?) about my reporting style. 📰🙉 In true "se mwana asina tsika" fashion, I just had to share this special video message from the ‘war veteran’ (see attached video) I can't forget to express my heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and well wishes I received from all of you through various platforms – X, TikTok, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and more! Your thoughtful messages made my day even brighter. May God bless each and every one of you for making my 50th birthday an unforgettable celebration. 💖🙏

🚨 Boosie Badazz Responds to DJ Envy Over Interview Pay Claims 👀 Boosie is pushing back after DJ Envy allegedly suggested he was asking for too much money in negotiations with VladTV. 🔥 Boosie’s Response: •Denies the claim that his price is unreasonable •Says he was previously getting $ 25K per interview •Recently asked for $ 35K but hasn’t done an interview in 7 months 💰 His Argument: •Boosie says Envy is missing the bigger picture ➤ It’s not about single interviews it’s about the yearly rate •Claims his reduced appearances actually saved Vlad money overall 📊 On Numbers & Value: •Pushes back on the idea that platform stats define worth •Says many guests on VladTV don’t perform like his interviews do •Emphasizes: “Numbers ain’t everything… I’m Boosie. I’m different.” 📺 Impact on VladTV: •Boosie suggests he’s been a major driver of engagement on VladTV •Implies his interviews are among the most rewatched and talked about ⚠️ Direct Message to Envy: •Calls Envy “wrong” for his take •Invites him to settle it publicly on The Breakfast Club ➤ “We can have it out… I’ll make you understand.” 💭 My Thoughts on Boosie vs VladTV Situation 👀 Let’s break it down… Boosie Badazz can make around $ 60K + for just 30–45 minutes performing at a show. That’s quick, high value work. Now compare that to his interviews with VladTV: •Boosie is sitting down for 2–3 hour interviews •Those interviews get chopped into 20–30+ clips •Clips are posted across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc. •Vlad monetizes EVERYTHING ads, views, engagement •There’s even a paid subscription model where fans pay for early/full access Meanwhile… 📈 Those platforms have grown to hundreds of thousands to millions of followers 📊 And let’s be real a lot of that growth came off Boosie’s viral interviews and moments Point is: Boosie isn’t just “doing an interview” he’s providing hours of content that gets flipped into ongoing revenue streams across multiple platforms. So when it comes to him asking for more money… it’s not as crazy as people trying to make it seem.

⭐ STOCK AITKEN WATERMAN'S I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY - THE MUSICAL - BRISTOL HIPPODROME ⭐ I LOVE THIS SHOW! ! ! 😅 💖 🌈 ✨ I love I Should Be So Lucky in all its camptastic, cheesy glory lol 🧀 Fans of the genius pop trio Stock Aitken Waterman will have lots to enjoy here, the show is positively STUFFED with their many smash-hits, featuring Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Jason Donovan, Bananarama, Mel & Kim, Sonia and many more ✨ (and if you're not a fan, this is the wrong show for you lol 😜) Debbie Isitt has written a big, brash wedding farce to accompany the classic choons, full of outrageous situations, secrets and misunderstandings.... Subtle this is not.... But it is a hell lot of fun 😂 I saw someone describe this show as "Mamma Mia! on steroids" and they ain't wrong 😁 lol This show is full of big voices and hilarious performances, lead by the would-be bride and groom, the fabulous Lucie-Mae Sumner and Billy Roberts 🌟 Incredible vocals by all (especially the leads), stand-outs also Emma Crossley (Jessica Daley, who I saw originally), Melissa Jacques and Kayla Carter ✨ But on the comedy front, the fantastic Giovanni Spanò, Scott Paige and Jamie Chapman delivered the most laughs 🤣 But my favourite addition to the cast had to be the one and only KYLIE MINOGUE 😱..... who appears throughout, in digital form lol Such a fun and clever way to feature her in the show 👑 Big pink hearts, sparkles and sequins feature heavily in the design by Tom Rodgers, which feels perfectly appropriate lol There's also some stellar choreography by Jason Gilkison, which I loved 💃 All in all, this was one of the most fun times I've had in the theatre, in a very long time. I will be booking again, and if you like the sound of the above, you should too! ! ! 💖 X x x

🎅✨ WERE YOU NAUGHTY OR NICE THIS YEAR? ✨🎅 If you’re not on the George “Santos Claus” exclusive holiday party list, you should take a good look at your year. Because this isn’t just a Christmas party. IT’S A POLITICAL LESSON WRAPPED IN TINSEL. When George Santos was arrested and thrown into jail, Washington did what Washington does best: it scattered. People who once claimed to be his friend suddenly acted like they never had his number. 📵 The phones went silent. ❄️ The allies vanished. And only a tiny handful stood by him when it actually cost something. Fast-forward - President Donald J. Trump commutes his sentence and breaks George Santos out of jail - and suddenly everyone wants back in Santos’ orbit. 🤳 Everyone wants a selfie. 🙏 Everyone wants forgiveness. 🎁 Everyone wants an invite to the most exclusive event of the season. But Santos is flipping the script. He’s making this party a reminder that backbone matters more than popularity. And he has one message for the fair-weather friends now begging to get in: 🎅 “Do better next year and you’ll get an invite!” 🎄✨ For those naughty missing out, here’s what you’re missing: ✨🎄 •⭐ An exclusive hand selected guest list of ride or die patriots and other special guests. •🎉 “Fun, Christmas, Christ, caviar and booze.” •🫕🦞 Fondue towers, seafood towers, all the guests are receiving a gift from me,” George Santos told Cara Castronuova and LindellTV. 🎁 Underneath the humor, there’s a real point here. The people that stood by Santos are the same kind of people that •🇺🇸 stood by the January 6th political prisoners when everyone else ran. •💉 The same kind who pushed back against vaccine mandates and Covid Tyranny when it was unfashionable. •🗳️ The same kind who fought for election integrity even when the media mocked them and the Deep State tried to destroy their lives. These aren’t trend-followers. These are people with steel backbones and spines. And in a city built on shifting alliances, the Santos Claus Party delivers a rare reminder: 🎁 Loyalty is proven in the dark moments — not when the spotlight comes back on. 🎄🥂 SEE ALL THE GOOD KIDS AT THE SANTOS CLAUS PARTY! 🥂🎄 Follow our reporter Cara Castronuova!

【📢TikTok live: อันโดรเมด้า ชุน 】 #จุงอาเชน #JoongArchen i hate incomplete translations… half a cake is still a cake but half a story is no longer a real story … Joong is not putting down or comparing any country with any other country… he is expressing his regret that the time he had to visit Baizil was so short 🐶 first stop: Brazil — our first time there. we did our homework — studied what Brazil had to offer and what places were worth visiting. tiktok showed how beautiful the cities were so we still went. we’d heard stories about people carrying guns on the streets. the local team even advised us: “don’t go out at night. stick to daytime.” me? i wasn’t too scared. i felt ready to “fight a tiger.” i was like “i got this!” so i walked around our hotel in the evening — and honestly it felt fine. people were out and about and it felt safe enough. then came show night. in Brazil we usually perform first then explore. the concert was incredibly fun — because it was our Brazilian fans’ first time seeing us in person! they created a real community vibe — setting up speakers and singing in the hall before the concert even began. they brought their own sound system blasting music and gathering together. even injured fans were singing Thai songs — clearly and passionately! not only was it fun but the sound system was insane — like ten or more speakers surrounding us. we barely needed in-ear monitors because the audio was that good. you could feel the intensity of the music vibrating through everyone — it was absolutely exhilarating. singing together feeling the crowd — i was totally euphoric. a highlight for me was this vintage market area near the venue. there were beer stalls alcohol being sold — but just to be clear i don’t drink alcohol. it was a cool vintage spot with artists sketching on the street for passersby. there were also these dolls — i honestly don’t know what kind — maybe hand-carved wooden ones. the clothes were super colorful too. but i didn’t have any money on me so i didn’t feel anything emotionally — just… nothing. i just took pictures to capture it all as a memory. honestly this was probably the trip where i spent the least amount of money in my life. still i posted travel pics and everything looked totally normal — super cute really lovely. 🐶 and then came the 2nd country: Mexico. it was honestly amazing — truly next level/at first when we arrived it reminded me a bit of Brazil. in Brazil you see graffiti everywhere — like people are just ready to paint every wall. so right after landing in Mexico and driving to the hotel i thought: “whoa this feels just like Brazil!” as we drove along i saw murals painted walls — kind of sweet and artistic. i wondered: is Mexico really that similar to Brazil? but the deeper we went into the city the vibe started to change. it was like driving through bangkapi in thailand — bustling crowded street markets a bit of traffic. then as we continued it started to feel like thonglor — more urban taller buildings. that’s when i realized: “oh we haven’t hit downtown yet.” but once we reached downtown — omg it was a whole different world. it looked so European! the buildings and architecture were absolutely gorgeous. if i were to describe it in fan-language it was so grand. you could throw on a suit and take aesthetic pics literally anywhere. in Brazil we barely had one day for sightseeing — just one day. but in Mexico we had three full days: one right after arrival. one the next day. and one on the day of the show. so we got to explore a lot more. you might have noticed i posted way more pictures in Mexico — that’s because we stayed longer. and since we were based in the city we could go out at night take pictures walk around. the city had such a strong European vibe. the churches were gorgeous too. we had the chance to explore multiple spots because we had time. honestly if we had as much time in Brazil we probably could’ve toured the whole city….+
