On Wednesday (Oct. 16), Snoop linked up with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation for Spirit Day, an annual initiative to support LGBTQ youth. Uncle Snoop sat down with The Voice contestant Jeremy Beloate in an interview shared on YouTube, where the rap icon talked about a new song titled “Love is Love,” which is featured in a new episode of Snoop’s animated children’s series Doggyland on YouTube. "It’s teaching parenthood. It’s teaching situations that kids in the world is going through right now in a beautiful way through song, dance, melody, just trying to get more clarity on how we live and the way we live," Snoop said. "And I felt like this music is a beautiful bridge to bringing understanding," he added. "This is a program we’ve been doing for years where we involve kids. These are things that kids have questions about so now hopefully we can help answer these questions and help them to live a happy life and understand that love is love." Nipsey Hussle's Marathon Burger opened its new location in California over the weekend, and stars like Snoop Dogg, YG, Stevie Wonder and more showed up to celebrate the event. On Sunday (March 1), Nipsey's brother, Blacc Sam, spearheaded the opening of the fourth Marathon Burger in Long Beach, Calif. Hundreds of fans showed up for the grand opening, which was star-studded. Snoop Dogg, a Long Beach native and investor in the location, showed up and helped pass out food to the throng of customers who showed up to get a first look at the brand-new eatery. YG and radio host Big Boy were also in the building. The two purchased 120 burgers and gave them to customers. Musical icon Stevie Wonder also dropped by to check out the fare. The opening of the Long Beach location marked the one-year-anniversary since Marathon Burger opened its first location on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. The successful opening was briefly disrupted by a shooting that took place nearby that left three people injured and one person deceased. Nipsey Hussle's team has released the following to XXL about the Marathon Burger grand-opening ceremony in Long Beach and the shooting incident. “The opening was a huge success with strong community support," the statement reads. "The incident being reported was NOT connected to our event and the event continued. The opening itself proceeded safely and without issue. The restaurant remains open and customers are still flowing in and out with excitement.” The grand opening followed another big posthumous event for Nipsey. Nas replied that he had no beef, loved Pac, and they shook hands or hugged‼️. Snoop claimed Nas “didn’t want none” but was deep—about 100 guys with guns circling them‼️while Pac remained oblivious‼️. Snoop said he spotted the threat (hands in pockets) due to his “gang-bang mentality.”‼️ Pac walked off thinking he’d punked Nas; Snoop saw it as Nas letting them slide because of the numbers‼️. Both sides handled it respectfully‼️. Nas has countered that Snoop got key details wrong‼️. Nas said he (not Pac) engaged amid high tension after the awards show, partly tied to a run-in involving his brother Jungle‼️. Rumors of Makaveli disses were circulating, and Nas wanted to check the temperature‼️. Their conversation was substantive: Pac thought Nas had dissed him on “The Message”; Nas clarified he hadn’t targeted Pac and had heard Pac was dissing him in clubs‼️. He has told the story multiple times, centering his close observation and the “Nas was deep/scared but restrained” angle‼️, which Nas and those standing right there dispute on initiation, numbers, proximity, and tone‼️.
