Only thing I would suggest is maybe make it so the enemy placements are telegraphed before they spawn, like maybe a glowing sigil that appears on the floor a couple seconds prior. Even if the spawns are consistent, it's still good to know when they're about to show up.

That’s a really good idea, I did notice that enemies can spawn on top the player. I’ll implement something like that :)

Maybe some sort of debuffs or unique feature could be in place to make it more immersive? Like for example straightjacket makes it hardee to move (move a bit slower), blindfold makes screen blurrier, etc... I think it could add some unique flavor to the gameplay

I'm gonna be doing powerups for future levels (power downs too), so if you have any more ideas let me hear them. I'm only against slowing the player down, since I just don't enjoy that when it comes to gameplay. But obstructing the players view is a good idea :)

I think like if the belt goes through the crotch, it could add a sort of unfocused mechanics where maybe sometimes the char cant focus fully therefore the bullet doesnt fly straight. Would be a good idea. Also you should make it so enemies dont spawn too near to you-

because it can be frustrating, I think you can make it so if enemies spawn where player is, they should be shifted 2 or 3 tiles away. Because in the vid I do see that you run head first into an enemy that just spawned, can be really infuriating gameplay wise.
