Don’t give me these back handed compliments bro lol I don’t care for em. I spoke on y’all because I can & u right y’all should be thinking SB, but let’s be logical Y’all in one breath saying that Swift was a top back in the league last year, so why let him go for Saquan? Also that’s a replacement move, how much better did u get at the position? Idk just asking Huff is a handcuff for Reddick’s contract, why not pay Reddick? Is Huff better than Reddick? They’re going to let him walk it seems, so another replacement move CGJ is back because he shined here, but under a different coordinator, but I like that move. So if you hate the paparazzi and the press so much that you SUE them regularly, why go to an All Star game loaded with celebrities, paparazzi, and press? Not just go, but not even try to blend in because you MUST sit courtside-to the tune of $50k per seat. This is the desperation-World Series game, courtside NBA game-at least at the hockey game they sat in a private box so they didn’t look so attention starved. Hypocrites. Just been sent a mad video of Billy Moore fighting with Jamie Carragher’s brother in the David Lloyd gym. I check with Billy before I post anything about him. So I’m not gonna post it until I have his permission. Apparently they have both been nicked so I’m not gonna message him he will have enough on his plate. Hope they are ok and it get squashed without any charges 🙏

This took place at the Cincinnati Reds game. A home run ball got wedged just over the wall and the stands. The stands are a good four-five feet up from the wall. So this dad tells his son to lean over and then grabs him by the feet dangling him over the wall to get the ball. 😳 A stadiums employee comes down and grabs the dad by the arm and tells him to stop. 💯 Even the announcer laughs and says “that dude’s gonna’ sacrifice his son.” A couple of things- one, that’s a good way to get kicked out of the park. That dad knows he shouldn’t be doing that. Two, it’s just a baseball. I know it’s a home run ball but it’s worth nothing. Maybe sentimental value to look back and say remember when we got that homerun ball? I get it but it’s not worth it. What if his son slipped out of his hands? And the Beast in the backyard is probably going to chew that ball up anyway. Do you understand the fascination of trying to get these home run balls? Heck, think of the chaos for a foul ball- what’s that all about? It’s a just a foul ball. Why not go buy a MLB baseball in the souvenir shop?

I've been sitting on this (there are more) for just the right moment. This was at the Verso loft for a fundraiser for the Zohran/Phara/Samelys/Jabari slate. Everyone was amazing. Dania and I were blown away. But we also realized: no was going to give. We're not rich but we believe in the cause and are old enough to have lived through so much failure. So we forked over the big first donation. Mamdani today is making it look worth every penny. I suffer no illusions about what is coming but today is a day to feel good...

Why does every swing have to be Max Effort today? The best MLB hitters I played with never seemed to over swing. On the rare occasion they did over swing they usually weren’t successful. But today because of Blast Motion & Rapsodo Baseball & HitTrax every kid is over swinging. These measuring devices might be fun to use but they aren’t helping you become better hitters. Ever notice when you over swing in golf you rarely hit a good shot? In golf the ball isn’t moving and it’s still difficult to hit it correctly when you over swing. In baseball the ball is moving and never in the same location so over swinging will lead to failure. Be Short and Quick to the ball and finish in a balanced position. It’s difficult to finish in a balanced position if you over swing. Baseball is not a video game! This is an oldie but ever so applicable with summer coming to a close in the northern hemisphere. That rough around the greens is healthy and happy. Try this if you are less than 2 feet into the rough. It’s a great escape shot to have in your arsenal! Ball behind trail foot / Putter delofted to project the ball INTO the turf / You’ll typically hit this shot softer than you might anticipate / Ball will pop up and over the rough before landing in the fringe and trickling up to the hole. Give it a go!

Here is the play folks are asking about, and I don't see an error here. Triolo doesn't make an attempt at the runner going to second, so it cannot be a fielder's choice, and the struggle to get the ball out of his glove isn't an error unless there is a complete loss of contact/bobble with air, and I don't see that either, and Happ then beat out the play at first. I don't see where the error is because Happ is on the base before the ball gets to first. There is an error for the advancements after the bad throw, but I have a single and not an assumed out here.

Baseball is so funny. Since last winter, the debate has been about who the Yankees should give more playing time to between Anthony Volpe and Jose Caballero. Then it's June, and you have Cabby standing on first after getting hit by a pitch. Volpe barrels a triple that flies off his bat at 104.5 MPH. These debates are fun, and we should never stop having them, but baseball has always been the great equalizer. Guys usually find a way to play. Also, good for Volpe here. We've all been hard on him — rightfully so — so it's nice to see him playing well lately.
