So, back in the day, there were no sampling laws, white artists could sample black artists without crediting. Up until black artists started sampling white artists. Then came sampling laws. It looks like Miss Americana thinks we are back in the segregation era 😂😂

Regarding the conversation surrounding ‘Napoleon having no CGI’. Below are the VFX credits. The film has some amazing VFX, stunt and practical FXs, including exploding body parts, exploding horses, exploding boats, crowd duplication, full CG boats, full CG environments all burning, water simulations, ice simulations, matte paintings, bullet hits, and much more. There are 15 VFX companies and 369 artists involved, but since some companies are only referenced by name, I suspect this number is much higher. DMD’s Friendship project let artists build connections and choose compatible partners. Many have described feeling accepted, supported, and more confident there. Femininity and fanservice aren’t inherently negative or inauthentic. "While many places might not be so open to this, in this world many places won't accept who we really are. But here ever since i came here, i have been able to be myself" - Kim There are many artists in dmd who have said they have felt so much acceptance and comfort while being there other than Kim. Rap, hip hop, and R&B copyright terminations will be one of the largest transfers of wealth to Black and brown people in the history of the music business. Yet nobody in Black media is talking about it. None of these podcasts, none of these radio shows that profit off the music every day are telling artists to hire an attorney, terminate your publishing, and take it back. This is exactly what I mean when I say Black media doesn’t inform us, it just repeats gossip. Not one conversation about Black artists reclaiming their copyrights and publishing to put money back into their own pockets. That silence is costing our community billions. If Black media won’t say it, then I will, find an attorney, file your terminations, and take your publishing back! And I’ll even do you one better. I bet none of those Black media sites will even post this video to let artists know that they can terminate their publishing. And it will literally prove how Black media does not inform.

Lizzo said what I’ve been trying to say for a long time. Artists of today can’t be as famous as artists from the 90s and early to mid-20s, like Beyoncé, Whitney, Celine etc. Your album could sell 20k and a single chart at #90 and a larger percentage of the world would know it. Now you can sell 5 million in a week, and the number of people who will know it won’t be as many as it was then. A song could have 10 billion streams on Spotify and you would see people who have never heard it. The streaming era has totally fragmented the market that even the most famous and successful artists of today are still not as famous as even the least famous and successful ones from back then.
