Yeah, that is a very cool idea. Chickens are like goats, they'll completely clear an area of everything they find tasty - plants, bugs, whatever. A few of these running across fallow fields would be a fantastic way to revitalize the land and reduce pesticide/herbicide use. And, it would make a bunch of very happy chickens. It is the least we can do.

Back in my day we called this a chicken garden tractor. My dad was way ahead of his time. This isn't a New concept, however, they definitely increase the size of the chicken tractor.

Small farmers have been using "chicken tractors" for decades. They put the house on wheels and move it every day or so. We had a small one for our chickens years ago. (That was before the foxes and coyotes found our place and treated our little farm like a chicken buffet).

This is awesome. You would still need to transport water to it, but that wouldn't be a problem.

Hardly "genius" but reasonably ingenious. It's just a scaled up powered version of common chicken tractors that have been used for many yrs. Proper way to do it, that's what matters.
